She spent her early years at Green Island, Yarmouth Co. and Western Light, Brier Island, where her father was a lighthouse keeper. She attended Digby and Halifax schools and lived in Halifax for much of her life, moving back home to Digby with her family in 1998. She is survived by husband, Keith BARRETT; son, Jeremiah; brothers, Tony BREMNER (Dana), Truro; Adam BREMNER, Digby; Matthew BREMNER (Michelle), Calgary, Alta. Visitation Monday, March 4, 2- 4, 7-9 p.m. in H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth, where funeral will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, Captain Stephen KENNEDY officiating. Interment will follow in Bayview Baptist Cemetery, Bayview, Digby Co. Donations to Jeremiah Barrett Christian Education Fund, at the Royal Bank,Yarmouth Branch.

He served overseas in the Second World War with the Cape Breton Highlanders. He was a life member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 67, Weymouth. He enjoyed playing pool. He is survived by his wife, the former Addie Frances HUBBARD; daughter, Brenda MCQUAKER, Brampton, Ont.; three grandchildren; four great- grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marie, sons, Shawn and Larry. Visiting will be Monday, March 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Jayne's Funeral Home, Digby, where the funeral will be held Tuesday, March 5 at 2 p.m., followed by a Legion tribute, Pastor Muriel FRANKLAND will officiate. Fred worked at CFB Cornwallis for 25 years as a carpenter and cabinet maker. He will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends. He was a past member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 61, Yarmouth. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed sharing her knowledge of crocheting, tatting and quilting with others. She was a member of Le Club Acadian, Ste. Anne-du-Ruisseau. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are nieces, Yvette (Agno) THIBAULT, St. Joseph, Digby Co.; Agnes (Owen) ATKINSON, Wedgeport; Joan (George) SEMPLE, Anne CAIN, both of Yarmouth; nephew, Paul LEBLANC, Weymouth Mills. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent BABIN; son, Robert in infancy; several brothers and sisters. There will be no visitation by request. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service was Wednesday, April 24, in Saint Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Anne-du- Ruisseau, Father Cr�pin KHONDE officiating. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery. THOMAS, Frank Ernest - 80, passed away on April 25th 2002, at the Digby General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in St. Stephen, NB, he was the son of the late Chesley and Kathleen (BOUNCIE) THOMAS. He was a member of the Freeport Baptist Church. Frank served in the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry during World War II from 1938-1945 in the United Kingdom, France and Germany as a Lance Corporal. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #92 in Freeport, which he was a past vice president. He was past President of the Seniors Club of Freeport. He is survived by his wife, the former Marie PERRY. Daughter Deborah THOMAS of Digby; son, Roger, of Freeport; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his brother, Hubert. The funeral was held at the Freeport Baptist Church on Sunday April 28th, the Rev. Robert MacCormack officiating, with burial in the Brookside Cemetery. A Legion tribute took place during the service. Donations to be made to the Freeport Baptist Church.
