Anne, Church Point and Department of Fisheries, Halifax. He was an avid card player. Surviving are son, Earl (Paulette) COMEAU, Meteghan; daughters, Linda (Blair) BOUDREAU, Lower Wedgeport; Glenda (DelbE) COMEAU, Eastern Passage; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Conseil Sigogne 6348 and honorary member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Weymouth Branch 67. He enjoyed music. Visiting will be today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with prayers at 8 p.m., in Jayne's Funeral Home, Weymouth North. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Doucetteville, Father Larry Pitcher will officiate, with burial in the parish cemetery. GAUDET, Edward J. "Eddie" - 82, Meteghan Station, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Hassett, he was a son of the late Amede and Madeline (DOUCETTE) GAUDETT. He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served in England, France, Holland, Belgium and Germany. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Weymouth, Branch 67, for 45 years. After the war, he worked in the woods, sawmill and shipyard. He also drove a school bus for 20 years for the Municipality of Clare. Surviving are sisters, Ida SABEAN, Weaver Settlement; Emma Ford, Ohio. He was predeceased by brothers, Rene "Joe", Ernest, Alphonse; sister, Pauline. Visitation in Meteghan Funeral Home. Funeral was Friday, June 28 in Stella Maris Church, Meteghan, Rev. Gerald LEBLANC officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
