DIED IN PLYMPTON Our Plympton correspondent writes: Death has again entered our midst and taken from it Hayden,son of Mr. and Mrs Delbert TREFRY . He returned home from Maine some weeks ago ill with typhoid fever but seemed to to improve gradually, until Sunday when hemorrhages set in and he passed away early Monday morning.Deceased was but nineteen years of age and was a general favorite of all. He leaves to mourn his loss a sorrowing mother and father , five sisters and two brothers , the eldest being ill in with the same disease in the hospital at Bangor. ME. DEATH OF MRS R. D. HARDY There passed away at noon on October 11th. at her home in Granville Ferry , Lizzie A. wife of R. Douglas HARDY . Mrs HARDY was the eldest daughter of the late John SMITH and Deidamia SAVERY SMITH and is survivd by her husband and two sons , also two brothers and six sisters . She as generous to a fault and the soul of hospitality . She was laid to rest in Stoney Beach Cemetery with her casket covered with the flowers she loved so well.[Annapolis Spector please copy.]

The death of Jeanette Elizabeth beloved wife Mr. Weston CROSBY occured at her home on Sunday Jan. 8, 1911 at the age of 50 years the deceased was a member of the Baptist Church and those who knew her best, testify to the beautifing influences of a pure religion which was spread over her life and character. Her life was gentle but like the still waters it ran deep. In her heart of hearts she carried those she loved and her hand was never weary, her step never faltered in ministering unto caring for, waiting upon those who were in anyway depended unpon her and when sickness and death came to her, as it comes to all, neighbors and friends visited with each other in acts of loving kindness and tender solicitude. much has been taken from this husband and family, sweet ties have been severed, but much is left. The christian's hope and fadeless memories are still theirs, She leaves to mourn besides her husband, four children, Rhoda and Valentine, who reside in the States and Blanche and Roy at home. The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon, the service being conducted by Rev. I.A. CORBETT. The news joins the many friends in extending symapthy to the bereaved family.

1911 Jan. 27 Friday Freeport news It is with deep regret that we have to record the death of a much respected citizen of this place. Mr William Henry THURBER of Fish Point .He had been in failing health for several months and died Friday morning sitting in his chair unable to lie in bed. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon ,the service being conducted by Rev. A.H. Saunders . The deceased was over 80 years of age . Five children are left to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate father, Mrs. Wellington RING; and Mrs. Charles HAINES ,Herbert all of Freeport and Frank of Salem MA and Rudolph with whom he resided

MCDORMAND, Rossway, Digby Co. and Mrs William COSSABOOM of Gardner MA; one son Grover O. RYAN and two daughters Mrs Mariah T. COOK and Mrs Josephine M. ' The sad intelligence of the death of Charles Edward, eldest son of Mrs. Annie WENTZELL, which occured at Pensacola, Fla., on Wednesday, April 19th, was recieved here on Tuesday. The deceased was 26 years of age and was boatswain on the schnr. A. D. Mills, Capt. A. L. BRINTON. He was taken sick while in Havana, and it was thought he had improved enough to go with the ship to Pensacola, but on the way over, he was taken down again and upon arrival there was placed in the hospital where he passed away. He leaves to mourn their loss his mother, three sisters and two brothers, To whom the News with other friends extends heartfelf sympathy in this their hour of sorrow.'

GILLIATT, Wellfleet, Mass.on Tuesday April the 18th . Mrs GILLIATT was the daughter of William and Mary Miller DUNN of Bear River and was 81 years of age. She leaves to mourn the loss of a devoted mother, one son Chipman H. GILLIATT of Wellfleet Mass.daughters Mrs E. R. THOMAS , Smith's Cove ;Mrs Austry GILLIATT, Granville Ferry; Mrs John W. ADAMS , Deep Brook; Mrs S. F. KING , Wellfleet Mass.Mrs George KENNEDY, Provincetown ;also sixteen grand children , one brother Edward DUNN of Landsdowne and one sister Mrs Rachel CARTY of Digby. The remains were brought here on Tuesday April 25th. accompanied by her son C.H. GILLIATT The funeral was held from the home of her daughter , Mrs E. R. THOMAS after the arrival of the train.Rev. Henry CARTER conducted the service at the house and the grave. a large number of people attended the service to show their respect for the dead and their sympathy for the bereaved

We record this week the death of Mrs Sinclair RUGGLES, which occurred at 10 o'clock Friday morning, May 12th at her home in Tiverton. She had been ill for some time, suffering very much. Mrs RUGGLES was highly esteemed by all who knew her. Her pleasant and sociable life made many friends for her. In sickness she was one who was always there and ready to do all she could and it will be a long time ere her place will be filled. She leaves to mourn, a husband, three daughters and three sons, Mrytle, Sarah and Rosa; Osbourne, Irving and Bennie, of Tiverton; three brothers, Milton and Byron OUTHOUSE, Tiverton and Capt. James OUTHOUSE of Freeport. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. A.H Saunders, pastor of the Baptist Church of which she was a member. Deceased was 50 years of age.

' On Monday afternoon Mr. James WENTZELL recieved fatal injuries. He went on the scaffold in his barn to get a plank and after shoving the plank off he made a misstep and fell to the floor, a distance of 15 feet, fracturing and recieving a fatal concussion to the spine. Physicians were summoned immediately and all that skill could accomplish was done for the sufferer. ' As the result of injuries in the accident on Monday, an account of which appears in another column, Mr. James WENTZELL passed away on Thursday morning. The deceased was 62 years of age and was a man of sterling character, being honorable and upright in all his dealings. He is survived by his wife and one daughter ; Mrs. Irving O. MASON, of North Springfield, Annapolis Co., and one son Augustus, residing in New York; also three sisters and five brothers, all of whom have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their sad bereavement. The funeral takes place at 3 o'clock this afternoon, the service being conducted by Rev. G. W. SCHURMAN, pastor of the Baptist Church. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery.'

'Sad accident at Bear River. Our Bear River correspondent writes, Mr. James WENTZELL, a respected citizen, died on Thursday morning last from injuries which he recieved in falling from a scaffold in his barn on the previous Monday. The funeral took place last saturday, the services being conducted by Rev. G. W. SCHURMAN, interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The mourning ones have the sympathy of a large circle of fiends in their sad bereavement.'

DEATH OF JAMES FRANKLIN Mr. James FRANKLIN , son of the late Jesse FRANKLIN , passed away peacefully at his home at Hill Grove , Saturday morning aged 67 years. He had been in failing health for six years but was only confined to his room for ten days during which time he suffered intensely and death came to him as a welcome release. He leaves three sons and one daughter. Harry B. of Digby; William H. of Boston; Miner J. of Hill Grove and Mrs James MCELROY of Boston;also three sisters and one brother Mrs Alex DILLON of Digby ; Mrs Wm. HUNT of Acaciaville ; Mrs Edward GLEASON of Marblehead and John FRANKLIN of Acaciaville . All who knew him will sincerely regret the loss of one who lived among them an honest and upright life. The funeral which was largely attended took place Sunday afternoon with interment in Hill Grove cemetery , the services being conducted by Rev. Mr. DIXON pastor of St. Mary's Bay and Hill Grove Baptist Churches.

Mrs John C. PITMAN died at her home at Brooklyn on Sunday night last after a lingering illness of consumption, aged 38 years, leaving a family of seven young children. Mrs PITMAN was the dauhgter of Capt. TEED of Freeport and the remains will be forwarded to that place for interment. Mrs PITMAN was a member of Olympia Rebekah Lodge, I.O.O.F of Avondale, Mass. and during her illness was cared for by Opal Lodge of Yarmouth.

DEATH OF MRS ANNIE MC DORMAND Mrs Annie J. Mc DORMAND passed away at her home , Gulliver's Cove Digby County on Sunday, April 28th.aged sixty-eight years and eight months. Although ill for several months,the end came unexpectedly and her relatives and friends were shocked to learn that the grim reaper had claimed her. Of a kind and gentle disposition,she was held in high esteem and will be greatly missed in the community.Besides a large circle of friends and relatives she leaves to mourn their loss three sons, Wayland of Gloucester,Mass; Bryon at present inAdvocate NB, William at home. and one daughter Blanche who resides at home.She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers vis Mrs Wm. The interment will be at Westport.
