WHITEMAN posted by Dan Whiteman on Sunday, July 21, 2002
It seems that a large number of those who settled Seneca County moved to the area from Berks and Columbia County Pennsylvania after the Revolutionary War in the early 1800's. This is the case for many members of my family, the Whiteman's, as well as many others that I see information on in both locations. Does anyone have a reason for this to have occurred?
