BOUCHER posted by Brenda Houghton on Monday, December 9, 2002
Trying to find information concerning the biological father of Duane Eugene Boucher, possibly born Duane Meyer or Meyers. Biological mother is Mildred Meyer(s) Boucher. Duane is my father. He recently obtained a birth certificate for traveling purposes. Not sure if this was from Sandusky County or Seneca. His birth mother lived in Seneca County at the time of his birth, I think. He was adopted by Mildred's husband, Elbert Boucher around age 4. That's mostly all I know at this time. Not sure how to go about locating the name of his birth father. Some information indicates he may have died prior to 1959. Duane was born, to the best of our knowledge, on December 21, 1941. Anything you can tell me would be helpful. Oh, and there was no father listed on his birth certificate. Thanks again for any information.

EHRBAR, IMMELE, LUCIUS, MANN, SHULTZ posted by Charlene on Sunday, December 29, 2002
I have been researching the family of my ggrandfatherm, August MANN. He had five sisters: Regina Jane Mann Shultz; Mary Mann Lucius; Elizabeth Mann Ehrbar; Matilda Mann Immele; and Catherine Mann Wiedenmeier Messerli. We can account for most family members with the exception of Catherine's family. In part this has been because the spelling of her two married names have not been correct. I have finally located her death certificate and the 1930 census which shows the correct spellings. She died May 27, 1934 in Cuyahoga county. On the 1930 census her son, Carl who is 45 years old resides with her as does, Catherine Theis, who is listed as her housekeeper. Catherine states she and her family emigrated to the US in 1859. Parents and children all born in Germany. She is aged 78 in this census and lived on Durant Avenue in Cleveland. I would like to know if anyone knows of her other two sons; George and Louis.

MILLER posted by Patrick Lernout on Tuesday, April 22, 2003
Sir, Mrs My name is Patrick Lernout. I live in Belgium in the city of Waregem. In our city is the US Military Cemetery "Flanders Field". This is a cemetery with soldiers of World War 1. As I am interested in the history of World War 1, I got the idea of writing a book about those soldiers, who gave their lives for our freedom. I think that would be a nice tribute to them. Of course I need a lot of searching work to do about their lives and I am also looking for (copies of) photos of them . So, why am I writing this letter to you ? One of the soldiers buried here is Lew Miller. His mother lived in 243 W High Street, Fostoria. Lew died of pneumonia November 1, 1918, ten days before the end of the war. Could you help me with some information/picture about him or addresses of relatives? Perhaps his dead was announced in the newspapers of November or December 1918 or sometimes a Roll of Honour book of the county with pictures of the soldiers has been made. Thank you very much in advance Patrick Lernout Drafstraat 15 8790 waregem Belgium patrick.lernout@pandora.be

I have an obit. for my x-stepmother M. Jay {Smith} merried surnames: Jay & Faber who lived & died in Fostoria, Seneca Co., Ohio from "The Advertiser Tribune" 3/28/2001 of Tiffin, Seneca Co., Ohio. It list buarial at the Riverside Cemetery, West Milgrove. I can't locate the cemetery & West Milgrove is not on the map of Ohio. The newspaper also list her as being born in Artamus, PA which also is not listed on the map of PA. She was 87 at her time of death so she would have been born about 1913-14. If anyone knows where I can locate these please let my know. Thank you.
