HUNTSMAN, JOHNSTON posted by Craig Albiston on Friday, April 6, 2001

I am looking for information about Samuel Johnston and his wife Elizabeth Huntsman. They were living in Washington Co. PA around 1800 but had moved to Belmont Co., OH by 1814 or 1815. They had children, Mary and Sarah, and perhaps others. Mary Johnston married James Huntsman. Sarah Johnston married Ira Ames. Did they remain in Belmont County? Did they die there? Did they have any other children than these two?

AMERINE, AMRINE, WEEKS posted by Charles Stewart on Saturday, April 7, 2001

Im trying to determine the parents of Catherine F. AMRINE (AMERINE). The following facts are from family records: 1. Catherine F. ARMINE was born in Belmont Co., OH Feb. 5, 1821. 2. She married Edwin WEEKS in Belmont Co., OH April 14 (or 16), 1821. 3. They lived in Belmont Co., OH until the fall of 1853. 3. In 1853 they moved to McLean Co., IL where they lived until 1869. 4. In 1869, they moved to Elk Co., Ks, where she died March 15, 1889. There is some (family) evidence that her father was Henry AMRINE, but Ive not been able associate my Catherine with any of the know Herny Amrines (Amerines) in the PA or OH regions in the late 1700s or early 1800s. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
