Amor HUNT m Amy Ellen WILSON 1828 Loudoun Co. VA. In 1830 census, Amor is in Moorefield Twp. Harrison Co. OH. In 1840 census, Amy is in Center twp. Monroe Co. Oh with her children. The death certificate of their daughter Melissa, born circa 1835, states she was born in Belmont Co. OH. No will or estate settlement found for Amor in any of the named counties. Are there orphan court records, guardian bonds or other court records available for Belmont that would show the children of Amor?

My GGGrandfather Matthew Washington GRUBB and GGGrandmother Lydia Ann JONES, were married in Belmont Co. in 1840. I am looking for the family of Matthew Washington GRUBB. He was born in 1813 in Delaware Co. PA. Lydia was the daughter of Yearsley and Susannah JONES. Matthew and Lydia then lived and died in Amesville, Athens Co., OH. Any information would help.

Interested in any info on Esau JENKINS family line and also Elmer SCHAFER, who passed away in Belmont County, Ohio on 12/7/1919, he was originally from Wheeling, WVA. Elmer SCHAFER was married to Gretta JENKINS on 12/31/1910 in Oakland MD and they resided in Martins Ferry. These were my great-grandparents. Esau JENKINS was married to Maria LEWIS and they also resided in Martins Ferry. They had two daughters, Gretta and Mary. Any info is appreciated.

I am searching for my Great Grandfather Dr. William Marion CALVERT. William was born in Belmont Co., Ohio 28 March 1832 his family moved to Meigs County, Ohio in 1842. William was in the Thirtieth Ohio Volunteer Infantry and honorable discharged do to injury. His father John Calvert died in Ohio in 1871 his mother Edith Beale died in Atchison Co., Missouri. Dr William Marion CALVERT practiced medicane in Virginia after the war then returned to Ohio and was appointed county physician. In 1865 he went to Missouri and practiced for 5 years in Warren and Montgomery counties. Then he went to Pike County Illinois where he had a large practice for eleven years. Dr. CALVERT had two marriages I have been unable to locate any family from the first marriage. The second was to Carie Melissa Martin.
