Looking for parents of Elizabeth Ann Trickle (c.1814-1838). She married William B. Laizure c. 1829. They lived in Nottingham Twp., Harrison Co., but the marriage is not recorded there. I see in the 1835 Ohio Tax Duplicate that there was a Samuel Trickle in Belmont County. Does anyone have info on Samuel?

Trying to find info on the following families that lived in Belmont County. DEULEA/DULY/DOOLEY and DOWNS. These families were Quaker. Joshua DULY lived there till his death in 1828. Quaker records show that they transferred their membership to this county. His wife's name was Avis believe that her maiden name was MAXSON. They came from Fayette Co. Pa. Their daughter Anna married Jeremiah DOWNS in Fayette Co Pa Sept 1801. Any info will help. The DOWNS later moved to Stark Co Ohio. Jeremiah died in Stark Co Oh. not for sure about Anna. My great grandmother Jane Manson ORR came to New Athens from Baltimore in 1834 or so with her mother Anne RUSSELL ORR, and little sister with a teamster in a large wagon along the National Pike. They were joining Jane's father, Alexander ORR, born in Scotland, ca. 1789, who had moved to Belmont Co. ahead of the family to get himself establlished. Anne RUSSELL ORR died in about 1836 in New Athens or Carthage. Does anyone have a church record (Seceder Church?) or a cemetery record of her death? Was there a local newspaper in the region that would have noted her death? Thankyou. Marylyn

My father, Lloyd Yeager, lived in Martin's Ferry as a child, about 1926-30. His parents were Ira Gay YEAGER (b.11-09-1886) and Ethel Mae MARTY (b.1895). It's possible his parents were married or born in Belmont Co. Can anyone do a look-up for me? I'm just beginning this search & have very little to go on. Thanks -
