I'm looking for info on Moses Dille b. abt 1794 in Bellmont County "Dille Bottoms". I'm looking for his children. My 2nd great grandfather Arthur M. Dilley is supposed to be his son according to Arthurs obit written by Arthurs son James M. Dilley.The story goes that when Arthur was about 3 yrs old he was indentured to a Peter Fromm/Fromme for reasons unknown. When Arthur reached 17 or 18 he stole his indenture and moved to Darke or Preble County.I need to tie the two together and find info on Peter Fromm. Thank You

I am researching the family of Isaac Gray, born in NY about 1815. He lived in Belmont County, Somersett Twp. for both the 1850 and 1860 Census. His first wife, Willey Street, died before 1860. Isaac married Elizabeth Grewell prior to moving to Jackson Co., WV. Isaac may have had a brother Nelson living in the same area.

We have traced an ancestor George W. HESS to west virginia, he married anna phillips. he is on the 1860 census in w virginia. Our bible shows he moved to armstrong mills ohio. we know he or his decendents moved to long beach Ca but cannot find the connection between george and John Logan hess who died in long beach. john had a son, william joseph, born in long beach in 1812. any info will help. will share.

Isaac Van Meter (Vanmetre) b. 1771 d. 27 March 1841 in Licking County, Ohio. Isaac m. Rachel Morgan 29 De 1791. This family lived in Warren Township, Belmont County in 1830 and are on the census. I am looking for proof documents for this family. Known children are: Mordecai, Daniel, Abraham, Elizabeth and Isaac b. 11 Oct 1820. I am directly related to this line and am trying to fill in the puzzle more.

Stevison Sturgeon, Feb. 11, 1814, Washington Co. Pa. Older sons from previous marriages also on 1820 census, with this family. Children William, born 1815, Pa. Martha Ann, Catherine Virginia, John Calhoun Sturgeon, 1822, Sarah Jane, Margaret Calhoun Sturgeon, James Voris Sturgeon, 1830 all born Belmont Co. Ohio. Lewis Thomas Jeremiah Sturgeon, Green Up Co. Ky, 1833, Mary Wilmina, Mildred Virginia. Both born Scioto Co. Ohio. Martha Sankey was the daughter of Giles and Margaret Calhoun Sankey, married Apr. 1748, Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware.Some of older sons of John Russell Sturgeon Sr., were John Russell Sturgeon Jr. who married Elizabeth Rowland Sturgeon. William Sturgeon, from first marriage, and another John Sturgeon, from second marriage. Names of First and Second Wife, unknown. May have been other children.

Needing info on a Ransom KIRKBRIDE & family. He married in Belmont Co. Elizabeth ALLEN July 9, 1936 & 2nd Sarah POWELL on Mar 17, 1840. Ransom had a daughter, HENRIETTA in Belmont Co. Jan 1840 I'm not sure if it was with wife #1 or #2. I believe Henrietta also married in Belmont Co. to a Merriman WILLISON. As she would have been 16 yrs in 1856 it could have been 1856-1859. She was 20 yrs old & married in the 1860 census. If anyone knows of this family please contact me. Thank you.

I'm searching for information on the GOOD family of Bellaire, Belmont Co., OH. William Good had a bake shop on 23rd ST. His brothers were Frank "Nate" Good (d. 22 June 1926 at the bake shop), James Good, Harvey Good, Thomas Good, and Garfield Good, all of Bellaire. They also had a sister, Mary. My g-grandparents John KING and Rebecca MCGATH were m. 15 Jul 1855 in Belmont county. They were in Barnesville as late as 1860 when their oldest son George King was born there. By 1875, they were in Dennison, Tuscarawas county, OH where my g-grandmother Sarah Catherine King was born. I am seeking birth and death dates and parents' names for John King and Rebecca McGath. The only other thing that I know about these people is that Rebecca McGath was supposed to be of Cherokee ancestry.

I am looking for information on the Moore family that lived in or around Bellaire, Belmont County, Ohio. I am looking for Frank Moore b. 1879 d. 1951 m. Pauline Bruny b. 1886 d. 1937. I don't have any information on Frank and Pauline other then that. I have an extensive amount on Paulines family. There childer are below. Cecil, Howard, Carl, Robert, Walter, Paul, Lavania, Frank, Morgan, Calvin, and betty. I am cecil's grandson and have quite a bit of information on his family. Lavania and Howard are the only siblings that we know are living. Anything will help.
