Isaac Wilson b. about 1769, d. 1837. Married on 29 Dec 1794 in Martinsburg, VA (now WV) to Susannah Thornberry. They moved to Belmont County in 1814 (possibly from PA) and located "on the place about a mile from Barnesville where the toll gate is situated". Daughter Elizabeth m. Mattie Keeler Children of Isaac and Susannah who were named in Isaac's will probated Marh 20, 1837 in Belmont County: Caleb, William, Josiah, Joseph, Elizabeth Wilson Barnes, Lydia Wilson Outland and Mary Wilson Outland. In the 1830 Federal Census, Isaac and his sons, Caleb and William are listed in Somerset Township in separate households. Isaac died 14 Jan 1837 or 9 Mar 1837, depending upon which source you read. His wife, Susannah d. 15 Nov 1836. In 1837, Josiah purchased three parcels of land in Monroe County, one on Aug. 21 and two on Nov. 7. All three patents are recorded by "Jos. S. Josiah has married Phoebe Durnell, dau. of Samuel Durnal and Rebecca Hall of Warren Township in Belmont Co., on 19 April 1838 in Belmont Co.
