I am searching for information on the parents of Elza Archibald Wiley b.10-10-1870 to Samuel Wiley and Mary Schogan. Also looking for family associated with Rebecca Jane Finley b. 6-2--1802 married to William Elder Ferguson, Samuel Ferguson married Jane Elder in Scotland, and William was born aboard ship as they sailed for America. Looking for parents of Caleb Whims who was orphaned at the age of 5 yrs. (aprx. 1790-1802) when his father, a soldier, was killed in the revolutionary war and then the death of his mother. He was raised by Rev. George M. Scott along with his own son who became Dr. John Scott (the father of President Harrison's first wife.) There is some question if the name was Whims or Whyms. Looking for the Kerr family. Three brothers Robert, John and David Kerr came from county Londenderry, Ireland in the spring of 1708, landing in Philadelphia. They were pure Scotch, descended from Robert Ker, Earl of Somerset, all documentary proof of this linage has long since disappeared. David Kerr Married Cornelia Chamberlain in 4-15-1785. They arrived in Beaver Co., Pa. in 1777-78. Thank you, I will be willing to share any information I have that may be of help to others. Jo Ellen Stoops

My great-great grandfather, Daniel, came into Belmont County in 1805. I believe he took a grant of land obtained by his father for Revolutionary War service. He moved to Washington County sometime after the 1830 Census. Would the Ohio Company records have any info on Daniel, how he got the land and where it was located??? I am really interested in tracking Dan's father.
