Their first names are Jacob and Ann. Lived in Smith twp. in 1820 . Any info on the RICKEY name would be great. I have back tracked the name to Ohio but they didn't Stay around but 30 yrs or so. I know they oroginaly came from Phil. in 1780s or even earlyer. But I'm still stuck in Ohio. Thanks for any info you can offer. If I can add anything else, let me know. Thank you . R. Mourek

Thomas E. OSBORNE lived in Belmont Co. between 1870 and about 1915. His parents were from Ireland, where the name was O'BEIRNE. He m. Elizabeth MCITYRE or MCINTYRE ca. 1890 and had a son, James Patrick OSBORNE b. 13 July, 1894, in Cambridge, Guernsey County, Ohio. Thomas returned to Belmont County in 1910, and I believe that he died there. Any assistance with this family would be greatly appreciated.

I am seeking information from Belmont Co, Ohio on the Shepherd/Sheppard family. Sources indicate that James Sheppard lived in the area and his father was reported to have founded a community named Sheppardstown, which may not exist. Other names may include Jonathan, Joseph, David, Ezekiel, John, Henry and others. They likely lived in the area from 1700-1850. I am especially interested in finding more information about Joseph or Ezekiel if it exists.

MARODY, KALSO posted by Sue Calarrudo on Tuesday, March 9, 1999. Searching for info on Vincent Michael MARODY & Theresa R. KALSO and their families. They are my Grandparents. They were both born in Hungary and immigrated to America around 1900. MARODI was changed to MARODY at that time. Vincent immigrated with a brother named Julius MARODY around the age of 21, and Theresa with her father, 2 brothers & 3 sisters around the age of 15. Vincent & Theresa did not meet until 1907. They were married within 1 month and settled in Barton where they were blessed with 6 children. They later moved to Lansing around 1926. Vincent died in Nov. 1939 of Black Lung Disease and is buried in Barton Cemetary. He was a coal miner. Theresa later remarried Frank Orosz and settled in Brookside until her death in Sept. 1965.

Larden on 9/26/1871 in Noble Co. and Annie Mariah (Hannah Maria)Castello born abt 1851 in Belmont Co. married Andrew J. Scott on 4/23/1876 in Belmont Co. In 1907 Annie/Hannah was living in Los Angelos. These sisters had a cousin, Barbara E. Castello b 1846-50. She married Henry S. Dawson on 3/3/1870 in Belmont Co.

I am researching MOORE, Mary, she was the mother of one Joseph MOORE who lived near Flushing, Ohio. She died August 1, 1854 and is buried at a place called Crabapple Presbyertian Church/Cemetery. Joseph is also buried there. He died in 1875. I would like to know if anyone knows of this cemetery, where it is, if there is a caretaker, and is this place still there. She had a few grand children born in Belmont County, John C MOORE and Rachel MOORE. Then the rest moved to Harper, Logan County, OHio. Her family did not all stay there they moved on and around this area. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Family Bible says they were married in the presence of Permila Greene and Thomas Greene. Know of 1 child: Joeva Greene b. Sept. 17, 1876. Believe there were several others. Was this a musical family? Have pictures of Joeva with others with musical instruments and believe them to be family. Was Joseph married prior to marrying Jane? Who are there other children? When did they moved to Porter Co., IN? Joseph died Dec. 11, 1898, where? Wish contact with descendants of this family. Thanks!

I looking for James GRIMES (m. Elizabeth). James and Elizabeth had four sons, I think. Thomas Grimes for sure. The others are, I believe, Oliver, Lewis and James W. James would have been born about 1800. He migrated to Ohio about 1824 and settled on McMahons Creek, Belmont County.
