My greatgrandparents Thomas ALLENDER,d. Sept.8,1901,was in his 80's and Armelia (HENDRY) ALLENDER,d. Sept.11,1906 age,88,and their children came to Brown Co.Indiana,in 1850,after the 1850 census in Monroe Co.OH Their last child was born 1851 in Brown Co.IN They were previously listed in Belmont Co.OH Armelia's sister and her mother came to live with them,too.Her mother and sister were Mary(CHERRY) HENDRY,b.abt.1791-1870 and Catherine HENDRY,b.3/25/1807-10/1/1872.Mary was a widow of Nicholas HENDRY They are all buried in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery on Spearsville Road in Brown Co.IN

Hello -- I'm trying to trace my gg grandparents, Machabeio (Mccabe) Forni and Margretha (Margaret) Pfeffer Forni. Their children went by Forney. Margaret's 1913 obituary read: Margaret Forni, one of Ohio's oldest residents, passes away at 97 There died recently at her home near Powhaten Mrs. Margaret Forni, nee Pfeffer, one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of Belmont Co. Mrs. Forni was in her 97th year when she passed away. Deceased was a native of Germany and was born in Bleistwiler, Bavaria in 1816 and came to this country with her parents, arriving in New York when she was (illegible) years old. I learned after my grandfather passed away in 1965 that the relatives,other families,spelled their name HINES. That John Hines and Carolyn Snyder/Snider, his parents, may be buried in Cemetery in or near Barnesville, Oh. Grandfather, James F. Hinds, wife Cora Frasher-HInds were married in 1894 in Barnesville, Ohio and are buried in Gibson Chapel Cemetery just outside of Barnesville. To trace my grandfather's parents I need to know for sure how they spelled their name.I am trying to locate my grandfather's relatives who sign their last name Hines. His name was James F. I am interested in information about the family of Robert Hopper who had five sons, all of whom fought in the Civil War. My grandfather, Samuel Duff, was one of the five. Two others, James and John, died as a result of war activity. Two others, William and Robert, were wounded but survived.
