Johannes Zwahlen, son of Christian Zwahlen I, was born before 1711, in Switzerland.
�Johannes was married before coming to America, wife�s name unknown. The child by his first marriage was Sophia (Zwahlen) Zwallig.
�Johannes and Sophia (his daughter) came to America on the Ship 'Dragon', 26 September 1749, from Switzerland to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
�Where he settled in Berks County, Pennsylvania and was married/2 on 20 October 1765, to Anna Catherine Schaeffer, who was born about 1747, the daughter of Michael Schaeffer.
�Here in America the name Zwahlen was changed to Zwalle, and Johannes' the name-John Zwalle Sr.
�Notes:
Most of the early Mennonites were Swiss driven to the Palatinate by persecution, though some of them came directly from Switzerland. Many of them were helped on their way by the Dutch members of their faith. The Mennonites of Amsterdam set up a Committee of Foreign Needs, which by 1732 had recieved over three thousand requests for aid, of which a large number were granted.�

Daniel died 20 March 1843, Monroe Township, Carroll County, Ohio, buried in Zion Reformed Lutherine Cemetery, Carroll County; Maria died 23 December 1864, in Owen County, Indiana, buried in Olive Hill Cemetery.

He was married 11 December 1823, in Tuscarawas County, to Lydia Beamer, who was born 2 February 1799, in Pennsylvania
On the 1850 Census, they lived in Warren Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio. They moved to Indiana in 1954. In 1860, they were in Cass Township in Clay County, Indiana
Charles died 27 February 1881; Lydia died 1 March 1865, both in Poland, Clay County, Indiana, buried in the Zion Church Cemetery.

Daniel Stwalley II, the son of Charles Christian Stwally and Lydia Beamer, was born 24 February 1834, in Tuscarawas County, Ohio.
He was married 30 September 1856, in Indiana, to Elizabeth Royer, who was born in 1836. They resided in Crawford County, Kansas, after 1878.
Daniel died 1 December 1899, in Englevale, Crawford County, Kansa; Elizabeth died in 1908. They are both buried in Fairvale Cemetery, in Englevale, Kansas.

Edward Voorhees Stwalley, son of Daniel Stwalley II and Elizabeth Royer, was born 24 August 1868, in Bowling Green, Indiana.
He was married 18 February 1896, in Englevale, Kansas, to Essie Dale Cory, who was born 21 January 1879, in Hadley, Crawford County, Kansas, daughter of Alonzo L Cory and Rebecca Kaufman. (See Cory Family, Part I)
He died 2 August 1940, in Pittsburg, Kansas; she died 3 January 1968, in Girard, Kansas; both buried in Englevale, Kansas.
