Part I - Hezekiah Lamb and Hannah Small

Lydia Mendenhall Lamb , daughter of Hezekiah Lamb and Hannah Small, was born 30 November 1842, in Grant County, Indiana.
She was married 29 August 1866, in Fremont County, Iowa, to Nathan Winslow, who was born 3 January 1841, in Grant County, Indiana, son of Henry Jackson Winslow and Hannah Moorman. (See: Moorman and Winslow, Part VIII) Nathan was in the Civil War, CO.H, 39 Reg, Iowa Infantry, and took part in General Sherman�s "march to the sea."
Nathan and Lydia traded their land, equipment, and furniture in Fremont County, Iowa, with a Kansas farmer, neither party seeing the other�s land, etc, beforehand.
In the spring of 1889 (March 13) they left for Kansas in a covered wagon. They stayed in Superior, Nebraska, the night of 29 March 1889, and arrived at Grandpa Lamb's (in Jewell County) the next night.
Nathan died 27 October 1893; Lydia died 28 January 1923, both in Northbranch, Jewell County, Kansas.

THIRD GENERATION
Hezekiah Edwin Winslow, son of Lydia Mendenhall Lamb and Nathan Winslow, was born 3 July 1867.
A minister in the United Brethren Church, he was married/1 22 December 1891, to Charity (Chat) Pixler, who was born 22 October 1873, and died 13 April 1913. She was daughter of Henry and Martha Pixler. Martha was born 20 January 1842, and died 18 September 1902.
Hezekiah was married/2 6 August 1919, in Cawker City, Kansas, to Lina Beden. He died 27 October 1928, and was buried beside Charity, in the Highland Cemetery, north of Esbon, Jewell County, Kansas.
Children:
Cora Angeline Winslow, daughter of Lydia Mendenhall Lamb and Nathan Winslow, was born 13 November 1871, in Linden, Guthrie County, Iowa. She came to Kansas with her parents in 1889.
She was married 18 December 1893, at the home of her parents near Esbon, Jewell County, Kansas, to James Edward McIndoo, who was born 4 December 1869, in Owen County, Indiana, son of Madison McIndoo and Annie Johnson.
Ed came to Jewell County, Kansas, in 1883. He died 30 September 1930; she died 28 June 1939. Both died in Jewell County, and were buried in Highland Cemetery, north of Esbon.

Henry Albert (Bert) Winslow, son of Lydia Mendenhall Lamb and Nathan Winslow, was born 19 December 1873, in Jewell County, Kansas.
He was married 9 October 1898, in Whitemound Township, Jewell County, Kansas to Ella Rich, who was born 9 August 1878, in Jewell County, daughter of Madison Rich and Charity Benbow.
Bert died 6 October 1938; she died 25 August 1973. Both are buried in Highland Cemetery, north of Esbon, Kansas. (See: Benbow Family, Ella Winslow Memoirs - Part IV, Morris Family-Part IV) The children were all born near Esbon.

Clarence Winslow, son of Lydia Mendenhall Lamb and Nathan Winslow, was born 19 April 1875, in Dallas County, Iowa.
He was married 10 March 1898, near Burr Oak, Jewell County, Kansas, to Bertha Leah Paxson, born 13 June 1879 in Marshalltown, Marshall County, Iowa, daughter of Elwood Asaph Paxson and Laura Mildred Adams.
All children were born in Walnut Township, Jewell County, Kansas. Both died in Burr Oak; Bertha died 10 June 1959; Clarence died 8 May 1964; both are buried at Northbranch, Jewell County, Kansas.
Elwood Asaph Paxson, son of John Paxson, Jr, (born 4 April 1828, and died 24 October 1895, Jewell County) and Amy Ellen Smith, (born 7 December 1824,-died 30 June 1905.)
Children:
Raymond Winslow, son of Lydia Mendenhall Lamb and Nathan Winslow, was born 16 February 1880, in Fremont County, Iowa.
He was married 16 February 1911, to Hester Goldsworth, daughter of Robert Goldsworth and Alice Hartman.
In 1912 they moved from Jewell County, to Norton County, and in 1916, to Rawlins County. He died 26 April 1951; she died 4 February 1959 in Rawlins County Hospital. Both are buried in Gem Cemetery at Atwood, Kansas.

FOURTH GENERATION
Lessie Winslow, daughter of Hezekiah Edwin Winslow and Charity Pixler, was born 3 November 1892, in Burr Oak, Jewell County, Kansas.
She was married 16 October 1916, to Edward Charles Weigel. Lessie died in Oregon, 2 March 1970.
Children:
Harlin Fay Winslow, son of Hezekiah Edwin Winslow and Charity Pixler, was born 14 October 1897, in Unionville, Missouri.
He was married 18 September 1927, to Katie Equilla Glenn, who was born 21 March 1902, and died 13 October 1977, in Lafayette, Colorado. Harlin is a carpenter. (See: Part I Glenn Family for possible connection)
Children:
Marvel Winslow, daughter of Hezekiah Edwin Winslow and Charity Pixler, was born 8 August 1904, in Jewell County, Kansas.
She was married 14 August 1922, to Leonard L. Glenn, who was born 19 December 1894.
She died in September 1965, around Loveland, Colorado. (See: Part I Glenn Family for possible connection)

Jay Madison McIndoo, son of Cora Angeline Winslow and James Edward McIndoo, was born 11 December 1897, in Esbon, Jewell County, Kansas.
He was married 18 February 1920, in Jewell County, to Dora Mae Leggitt, who was born 4 November 1900, in Jewell County, daughter of Phillan Leggitt (1871-1959, buried Highland Cemetery, Jewell County) and Ella Sanderson (1872-1956).
Jay died in a nursing home in Red Cloud, Nebraska, 3 April 1984, buried in Red Cloud.

Ray Nathan McIndoo, son of Cora Angeline Winslow and James Edward McIndoo, was born 2 August 1899, near Esbon, Jewell County, Kansas.
He was married 11 March 1921 to Thedia Aubushion, who was born 27 August 1900, daughter of William Aubushion and Myrtle Anderson.
He died 19 November 1966, in Caldwell, Idaho. All of the children were born near Northbranch, Jewell County, Kansas.

Henry Beryl McIndoo, son of Cora Angeline Winslow and James Edward McIndoo, was born 19 July 1906, near Esbon, Jewell County, Kansas.
He was married 25 March 1928, to Elma Landis, who was born 23 April 1909.
He died 4 December 1953, in Caldwell, Idaho. She remarried in 1961.

Forrest William (Hap) Winslow, son of Henry Albert Winslow and Ella Rich, was born 24 September 1900, Esbon, Jewell County, Kansas.
He was married 23 May 1925, in Mankato, Jewell County, to Estal Lee Thompson, who was born 18 May 1906, in Jewell County, daughter of Jake Thompson and Elise Michael.
He died 4 March 1974, in McPherson, Kansas.

Effie Luella Winslow, daughter of Henry Albert Winslow and Ella Rich, was born 9 March 1902, near Esbon, in Jewell County, Kansas.
She was married 14 July 1935, to Andrew Turner McDowell, who was born 3 May 1897. In 1978, they lived in Gerdry, Arkansas.

Lester Henry Winslow, son of Henry Albert Winslow and Ella Rich, was born 31 July 1908, near Esbon, in Jewell County, Kansas.
He was married 5 April 1931, to Myrtle Renken. He died 5 October 1946, near Lebanon, in Jewell County, and was buried in the County Cemetery, in Smith County, Kansas.

Verlin Wayne Winslow, son of Clarence Winslow and Bertha Leah Paxson, was born 8 August 1901, in Jewell County, Kansas.
He was married 21 March 1923, in Mankato, Jewell County, to Carrie Mae Aubushion, who was born 30 July 1905, daughter of William Aubushion and Myrtle Anderson.
He farmed in Jewell County, until 1942, when they moved to Greenleaf, Idaho. He worked for Treasure Valley and Oklahoma Salesyards for 25 years.
Preceded by the death of his wife, he died 7 December 1983, in Caldwell, Idaho. He was buried at the Greenleaf Friends Cemetery, Greenleaf, Idaho.

Nathan Lavern Winslow, son of Clarence Winslow and Bertha Leah Paxson, was born 2 May 1903, in Jewell County, Kansas.
He was married at the home of the bride�s parents in Northbranch, Jewell County, on 2 December 1924, to Mildred Arlene Cline, who was born 2 December 1904, in Jewell County, daughter of Arthur W. Cline and Viola Hadley. The children were born in Northbranch, Jewell County, Kansas.

Hazel Marie Winslow, daughter of Clarence Winslow and Bertha Leah Paxson, was born 20 March 1905, in Jewell County, Kansas.
She was married 1 January 1927, in the home of her parents, near Northbranch, Jewell County, to Dallas Burdette Diehl, who was born 17 October 1905, in Jewell County, son of Lou Diehl and Mattie Bailey.
He died 3 September 1962; she died 20 August 1984 in the Mankato, Kansas, Hospital. Both are buried in Northbranch.

Leo Earl Winslow, son of Clarence Winslow and Bertha Leah Paxson, was born 6 November 1909, in Walnut Twp, Jewell County, Kansas.
He was married 12 April 1932, in Jewell County, Kansas, to Avis Wilma Jones, who was born 15 October 1913, Walnut Twp, daughter of Ulysses Lewellin Jones and Mary Jane Benbow.
Leo died 21 January 1984, in Red Cloud, Nebraska, and buried Northbranch, Kansas.

Winifred Irene Weigel, daughter of Lessie Winslow and Edward Charles Weigel, was born 4 December 1917, in Lenor, Kansas.
She was married 7 October 1943, in Bunns, Oregon, to Hugh Elvis Brown, who was born 19 January 1920, in Kentucky.

Wayne Edwin Weigel, son of Lessie Winslow and Edward Charles Weigel, was born 2 January 1910, in Lenor, Kansas.
He was married 17 January 1943, in the First Friends Church, Portland, Oregon, to Dorothy A. Berg, who was born 11 March 1919, in Tacoma, Washington.

He was married 16 July 1948, in Montellcello, California, to Grace Mahaffey, born 10 September 1928, in Pendleton, Oregon.

She was married 6 April 1947, to Frank C. Pierce, who was born 3 May 1910, in Miami, Arizona. Frank had been married previously and had two sons.

She was married 30 June 1942, in Greenleaf, Idaho, to Mahlon L. Macy, who was born 27 August 1922, in Caldwell, Idaho, son of Harlan B. Macy and Clara H. Roberts.
Their residence was Oakloosa, Iowa (1982) He is the Superintendent of Iowa Yearly Meeting of Friends.

She was married 16 September 1945, in Greenleaf, Idaho, to Harold Williams, who was born 4 August 1922, son of Floyd Williams and Berniece Hatfield. Harold is a hardware salesman. The children were born in Boise, Idaho.

A stockbuyer, he was married 23 February 1947, in Greenleaf, Idaho, to Betty L. Holton, who was born 21 September 1948, daughter of John Holton and Myrtle Still. The children were born in Caldwell, Idaho.

He was married 21 October 1951, in the home of her parents in Northbranch, to Laveta Pauline Warner, who was born 29 November 1933, daughter of Virgil Warner and Mable Arnett. They were divorced.
All of the children were born in Red Cloud, Nebraska.

Irene Margaret McIndoo, daughter of Jadean Madison McIndoo and Betty Kindler, was born 23 January 1948, in Jewell County, Kansas.
She was married 16 October 1966, in Rosemont, Nebraska, to Ray Dean Hartman, who was born 18 June 1942, son of Raymond Hartman of Blue Hill.
