I am searching for ancestors, particularly the parents, of Oliver (Ollie) VERNIER. He was born 14 Dec 1880 perhaps in Fulton Co Ohio. He married Minnie WYRICK. They had several children including Rex, Clair, and Gloyd. He died May 1966 in Hillsdale Co, Michigan. Any information would be helpful. Thank you, R A Smithy

BOST, SHATZER, MCCRACKEN, KEMP, My research has taken me to Fulton County Ohio where Adam BOST married Mary Barbara SHATZER on Dec. 5, 1858. Their descendents are William Shepard (9/3/1858 - 3/18/1932), Roy, Sam, Lester, and Ellen Bost. Adam is my ggg grandfather from William and Mary Elizabeth MCCRACKEN (8/23/1862 - 3/8/1911) married March 7, 1880. Emma Jane BOST (3/20/1900 - 5/23/1989) my g grandmother married Walter Deforest KEMP Sr. (5/13/1891 - 4/11/1965) on Dec. 24, 1914 in Swanton. My g grandmother left a detailed manuscript that I encouraged me to do my research. She was a wonderful lady. I have traced my family back to Ohio. This is the information that I have so far. I have determined that my GGG-GF is William J. MEEKS, Sr., he was born on March 2, 1800, in Fairfield County, Ohio and died on 9/8/1875 in Fulton County, OH. William was married to Rachel CARR, who was born on 12/17/1798 in PA and she died 8/15/1884 in Fulton County, Ohio. Their son, George MEEKS, my GG-GF, was born in PA in July of 1824. He moved to Murry, IN near Fort Wayne, IN. They also had the following children: Sarah, born in York County, PA 3/8/1827 Hannah, born in OH around 1830 William J. MEEKS, Jr., born 4/4/1832 in Salt Creek Township, Wayne County, OH. Eliza was born in OH around 1834 Margaret was born in OH around 1837 Maria was born in OH on 6/11/1842 and died 1/15/1862 in Wauseon, Ohio The family lived in Wayne County, Ohio for many years and then moved to Fulton County, Ohio and they stayed there through out their remaining days. I have not located the name of William's father, at this time. I would appreciate any additional information about my MEEKS line?

Wendell WASNICH, b.1808 in Germany,was pastor (probably founding) of the First German Reformed Church at Archbold built 15 rods north of Brush Creek. Served as pastor for 19 years. I think his pastoring of the church began around 1855. Am seeking verification of this family story, plus history of the church, death date of Wendall WASNICH, and place of burial.

Looking for information on my g-g-grandfather, Hiram HOLMES. He is listed in the 1850 Fulton Co., OH census, birth year 1797 in the state of NY. With him are listed, possibly his 2nd? wife, Sarah, b. 1817 in NY, daughter Martha, b. 1842 NY, Jackson b. 1846 in OH, and Mariette and Juliette b. 1848 in OH. Mariette is my g-grandmother who later married Samuel (MC)KNIGHT and lived in Daviess Co., MO. Seeking information on Jacob Riley ZIMMERMAN son of Jacob Zimmerman and Melissa "Jane" MATTOX.Jacob and Jane were in Fulton Co,Oh as early as 1840's.On They were married in Wayne Co,Oh on Feb.3,1842.Their children were Martin,Vententra info on 1850 census.On the 1860 census Jane is in household of Aaron Worthington the Zimmerman children noted on this census are Riley 5yrs,Celia 3yrs,Alice 1yr.The obituary of Martin Zimmerman states he was born in Wayne Co,Oh on Nov.22 1844 and died in Fulton Co,Oh on April 8,1910.He married sarah J.Snyder and had two daughters.The siblings mentioned are Tency,Mary,Celia,and Margaret.We know that Riley is a brother as we decend from him.Have photo's of Martin and his wife etc.Jacob Zimmerman was supposedly killed in the Civil War.Have names of who siblings married.Please note my new e-mail address.
