BARTLEY, TAYLOR posted by kathy canaday on Saturday, May 3, 2003

I am looking for a John TAYLOR he died in 1855, and was buried in amboy township cemetery. fulton county Ohio. He was married to Elvira who was also buried there. His son George W.TAYLOR is my greatgrandfather. He was born in Brooklyn New York, in 1845. He married Harriet(Hattie) BARTLEY Nov 23 1869. She was born 1851 and died 1915, and was also buried in Amboy. I have reason to believe that George had 2 brothers, John and Richard, which we think served in the civil war with George. I have no proof of this as just have some notes that my mom left, and didn't find them till recently. Have come to a dead end. Any help would be appreciated. thanks kathy p.o.box 104 keosauqua, iowa 52565.

KNIPE, MCQUEEN, SNYDER posted by Jeff McQueen on Monday, June 2, 2003

Looking for the parents of William H. MCQUEEN and Adaline (Angeline) MCQUEEN. Both are found on the 1860 census of Clinton Township, Fulton County, Ohio. In the census William is 6-years-old and his sister Adaline is 4-years-old. They are living with John and Elizabeth SNYDER who are too old to be their parents. I believe William and Adaline are the children of Hannah SNYDER and Henry MCQUEEN (brother of James MCQUEEN, who can be found less than one mile from the SNYDER farm in the 1850 census of Clinton Township, Fulton County, Ohio). Hannah and her sister, Elizabeth, are found in the 1850 census records with John and Elizabeth SNYDER, but both can not be found in the 1860 records with their parents. Any help would be greatly appreciated. William H. McQueen is my great-greatgrandfather. He married Roxie KNIPE in Williams County, Ohio. William and Roxie both died of typhoid fever in October 1895 in Harrison Township, Paulding County, Ohio.
