BLAKE, DEMUTH posted by Brian Davis on Friday, January 14, 2000

In an antique store in Orange, CA, I found an ornate, framed wedding certificate for the marriage of Sidney L. BLAKE of Swanton, Ohio to Miss Belle DEMUTH of Swanton. The marriage was September 28, 1892, and performed by the Rev. P.S. Slevin. The vendor was asking $120.00 for it. It seemed a shame that this piece of someone's family history was offered for sale to a stranger with no connection to the people involved. If anyone is interested, I can provide more information about it.
