MILES posted by Lori L. DeBacker on Monday, August 13, 2001

Does anyone have any info on the home built on 116 Lincoln Street (Delta,Ohio 43515) by a family named MILES who used to have a lumber mill on the creek right behind their home circa 1862? I'd like to discover what the porches were like on the home originally, so they can be restored-they were craftsman-styled in presumably the 'teens or 'twenties. I and my family now own and are living in the MILES house and would appreciate anything anyone could tell us about the structure or its history.

CLARK, FOX, HARRIS, SHAMBARGER, WOOD posted by Ted Reising on Friday, August 17, 2001

Seeking descendants of the Jothan HARRIS family of Fulton County: dau. Lydia (HARRIS) CLARK, b. 1867, and her sis Frances E. (HARRIS) SHAMBARGER, 1870-1938. Both buried in Amboy Cem. (but I don't know if they died in Ohio). No other dates on their stones other than those above, and no death-year cut for Lydia. Lydia's husband, William, may have died 30 Apr 1939 in Dundee MI, but he is also bur. Amboy Cem. (Lydia possibly died after 1939, and maybe no one was left to make sure that her death-date was put on the tombstone.) She was living in Toledo in 1918, per her uncle Allen HARRIS' will. Frances SHAMBARGER's address was Metamora in 1918. I am also trying to find out what happened to their sister Mary Jane HARRIS, but nothing to go on, other than her approx. birth, 1865. Their parents were Jothan HARRIS (1828-1870), and Julia E. (FOX) (1840-1925). Jothan grew up on Kelleys Is., and Julia was from Sandusky City. Both bur. Roos Cem., Fulton Co. Julia may perhaps have remarried Wm. R. WOOD in 1889, and dau. Frances may perhaps have been married under "WOOD". Julia may have died 16 Dec 1925. I could use a look-up of her obit if anyone has easy access to the Wauseon paper. Ted Reising of Erie County, Ohio
