Mrs. Mary H. Bechtel, widow of Samuel Becthel, died in Philadelphia, on the 8th inst., in her 75th year. Her husband, long since deceased, was a native and resident of Pottstown many years ago, and, with his father, Peter Bechtel, kept the Farmers' (now Shuler's) Hotel. He was a brother of Joshua Bechtel and Mrs. Henry Mintzer, of this borough.
