Garner Family of Bucks and Montgomery Counties, PA

My immigrant Garner ancestor was a John Garner who lived in Bucks and Montgomery Counties, PA, dying in Gwynedd, Montgomery County in September of 1827 at over 90 years of age. He is buried in Line Lexington Mennonite Cemetery. He might be the 12-year-old John Garner who immigrated with his father Hans Georg Garner in 1749.

John Garner, the immigrant, was married twice. His first wife was supposed to have been Mary Lewis. The children from that marriage were Samuel, Elizabeth, Mary, George, Catherine, John II, Henry, and Peter. After the death of his wife Mary, which was probably circa 1800, John married Regina/Rachel Reinwalt, daughter of Christopher. They had at least one daughter, Anna (aka Nancy). Regina Reinwalt Garner died September 1, 1818, leaving John a widower once again.

John Garner II, son of the immigrant, was born about 1772. There is a marriage record between a John Garner and a Magdalena Longenecker on 12 March 1795. In other records, however, his wife is referred to as Mary. John II died about 1805. At the time of his death, he owned about 102 acres of land in Warrington, Bucks county, PA. He left three children: Jacob (aged 10), John (aged 5), and Ann (aged 2). I descend from the middle child, John III.
