Scottsdale -- Prayer services for Harold Barker Fahnestock, 65, who took a disability retirement in 1971 from Quality control with the U. S. government at Motorola's Scottsdale plant were in Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Chapel. Mr. Fahnestock died Oct. 7, 1979, in his home. He was an Army veteran of World War II and had worked for motion picture companies before moving here from California. Survivors include his wife, Antoinette; a sister and two brothers. Whiteriver -- Gravesides services for Jason G. Fall, 25, who died Oct. 20, 1979, at the Indian Health Service Hospital here, was at the Whiteriver Cemetery. Mr. Fall, a Whiteriver native, lived his life here. He was employed by the Apache Construction Co. and was a member of the White Mountain Apache Indian Tribe. Survivors include his father, Greenley Fall; two brothers; five sisters; and his grandparents, Elizabeth Fall and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Brooks. 25 Oct 1979

Bagdad -- Steven A. Farnsworth, 75, a rancher who lived at the Wildhorse Ranch in Bagdad one year, died Oct. 6, 1979, in Yavapai Community Hospital, Prescott. He was born in Mexico and lived in Arizona 37 years. Survivors include his wife, LaLone; children, Larene Price, Louise Taylor, Patsy Millett, Ethel Carnes, Chester, Learon, Norman and Edwin; 43 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. 8 Oct 1979

FARR, Esma M.

Sun City -- Services for Esma M. Farr, 82, of 10365 W. Pinehurst Drive, a former bookkeeper, were in Sunland Memorial Park, 15826 N. Del Webb Boulevard. Mrs. Farr, a Gold Lady of Sun City Lodge for 10 years, died Oct. 4, 1979, in Boswell Memorial Hospital. Surviving are stepdaughters, Dorothy Orwig and Maxine Anderson; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Published in The Arizona Republic Sunday, October 7, 1979.

FARRINGTON, Mark D.

Scottsdale -- Mark D'Ashby Farrington, 62, an English teacher at Scottsdale High School, died Oct. 5, 1979, in his home at 8229 E. Valley Vista Drive. Services were in Unitarian Church, 4027 E. Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley. Mr. Farrington, a native of New York, came to Arizona 20 years ago and was a director and actor at the Stagebrush Theatre. FELBER, Frank A.

Mesa -- Rosary for Frank A. Felber, 75, was in Melcher Mission Chapel, 6625 E. Apache Trail. Mas was in All Saints Catholic Church, 1534 N. Recker. Mr. Felber, 4103 E. Crescent, moved to Mesa in 1969 from Chicago where he was a machinist with the Argonne National Laboratory. He died Oct. 25, 1979, in his home. Surviving are his wife, Catherine; children, Claire Soppet, Loretta Eskridge, Mary C. Rosborough, Natalie Kalman, Joy Hayes and Willis Joseph; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. The Arizona Republic Oct. 28, 1979.

FENNELL, Raymond D.

Services for Raymond D. Fennell, 80, of 329 W. Monterosa, a metallurgist, were in Delmont, Pennsylvania. He died Oct. 26, 1979, in St. Joseph's Hospital. He came to Phoenix seven years ago from his native Pennsylvania. Surviving are a sister and a brother. The Arizona Republic Oct. 28, 1979, p. E-19.

FERNANDEZ, Francisco S.

Francisco S. Fernandez, 81, of 1637 E. Maricopa, a retired auto mechanic who came here three months ago from Mexico, died Nov. 2, 1979, in St. Luke's Hospital. He is survived by his children, Martha Acosta, Gloria, Conrado, Francisco, Flavio, Victor and Gasper; a brother and eight grandchildren. Rosary will be Monday at Mortensen-Kings Funeral Center, 1020 W. Washington. Mass will be Tuesday at Immaculate Heart Church, 909 E. Washington. The Arizona Republic Sunday, November 4, 1979.

Ervin J. FESING, 75, who moved here in 1956 from Wisconsin and owned Starlite Buffet 20 years, died July 2, 1979, in Memorial Hospital. Mr. FESING, 2314 W. Yuma, is survived by wife, Ethel; mother, Isabella; and two sisters. Graveside services were in Greenwood Memorial Park, 2300 W. Van Buren, A. L. Moore & Sons Mortuary announced. FIELDS, William R.

William R. Fields, 83, who served as an Army corporal in World War I and retired in 1967 after farming in the Laveen district 25 years, died Oct. 11, 1979, in John C. Lincoln Hospital. Mr. Fields was a member of Neighborhood Congregational Church and life member of Luke Greenway American Legion Post. Surviving are his wife, Emily C.; son, Glenn; two granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren. Services were in Memory Lawn Mortuary. The AZ Republic Oct. 13, 1979.

FINCHUM, Kenneth E.

Kenneth E. Finchum, 40, a security guard for Goodyear Tire Co. who moved here in 1973 from Muncie, Indiana, was killed in a traffic accient Oct. 8, 1979, at Snow Lake, N.M. Mr. FInchum is survived by his wife, Lynn; children, Keana, Kathy, Karry, Kelly, Ashli and Kenneth III; parents, Kenneth and Zelda Finchum; two sister and two brothers. Services were in Chapel of the Chimes, Glendale. The AZ Republic Oct. 10, 1979, p. C8.

FINK, Lewis William

Sun City -- Lewis William Fink, 73, a former self-employed grocer and member of Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church after moving to Arizona in 1959 from Pennsylvania, died Oct. 18, 1979, in Phoenix General Hospital. Mr. Fink had been a Lions Club member. He is survived by his wife, Bertha; son, Gerald; stepson, James Bosley, a brother, Augustus Fink, Covingham, PA; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services were in Glendale Chapel of the Chimes. Interment Resthaven Park. The AZ Republic Oct. 20, 1979.

FIORETTI, Jack

Sun City -- Jack Fioretti, 91, died Oct. 1, 1979, in Valley View Hospital. He moved here in 1975 from Long Island, N.Y., and was a retired wholesale produce broker. Surviving are his children, Angela Tavalario, Rachel Romeo, Joseph, James and Thomas; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mass was at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 9728 W. Palmeras Ln. Wed., 10/3/1979.

FLAGG, Mary H. W.

Mary H. W. Flagg, 95, who came to Arizona in 1913 from Rhode Island where she graduated from Pembroke College in Providence, died Oct. 14, 1979, in Santa Rosa Convalescent Center at Tucson. Mrs. Flagg was a member of the Society of Friends (Quakers), Heard Museum, PHoenix Art Museum, Philatelic Society and Collectors Club of Phoenix. She was the widow of Arthur E. Flagg, former director of the Arizona Mineral Museum. Surviving are her children, Anne Hines, Edward C. and Richard W.; a sister, a brother; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. A. L. Moore & Sons Mortuary. Survivors include his wife, Jean; children, Butch, Ursula Osburn and Mary Duerr; a sister; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
