UNANGST, Stanley C.

Glendale -- Serivces for Stanley C. Unangst, 61, who had been body shop manager of Walt Adams Buick Agency 31 years in First Southern Baptist Church of Glendale. Mr. Unangst moved here in 1946 from Lodi, Ohio, and died Oct. 16, 1979, in Maryvale Samaritan Hospital. He was a member of Glendale Fraternal Order of Police, Elks Lodge, and Woodmen of the World. Survivors include his wife, Dixie; children, Penny L. Osborn, Kimberly A. Prior, Stanley, Jr., Terry G. and Jeffery R. Prior; six grandchildren; a sister and a brother. Lundberg White Rose Chapel. VACARNERI, Maria Cruz C.

Guadalupe -- Maria Cruz C. Vacarneri, 84, came to Arizona 80 years ago and died Oct. 7, 1979, in a Phoenix hospital. Survivors include her children, Refugia V. Matus and Frank C.; and 18 grandchildren. Mass was in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A wake was held in the family home on E. Church St. 10/12/1979.

VALENZUELA Eluteria Y.

Klondyke -- Eluteria Y. Valenzuela, 84, died Oct. 22, 1979, at the Mount Graham Community Hospital in Sofford. Mrs. Valenzuela, a native of Mexico, moved to Bonita about 1902 and later to Klondyke. She was a housewife. Survivors include four sons, Cruz, Manuel, Torivio and Carlos; a daughter, Angelita Hernandez; six sisters; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. VALENZUELA, Manuel

Manuel C. Valenzuela, 62, who was born in Tucson and was owner-operator of Carolina's Mexican Food Restaurant the past seven years, died Oct. 17, 1979. Mr. Valenzuela, of Tempe, had been a businessman in the Valley most of his life. He was a World War II veteran and a member of American Legion Post 41. Survivors include his wife, Carolina; sons, Joe A. and Edward A.; a brother and eight grandchildren. Rosary was in Whitney & Murphy Chapel. Mass in St. Anthony Church. The AZ Republic 19 Oct 1979.

VAN, Donald

Buckeye -- Services for Donald Van, 23, of 408 S. FIfth St., who was stabbed to death Oct. 31, 1979, in a fight with a fellow worker at Liberty Gin, were at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Allenville. He was born in Phoenix and is survived by his son, Donald, Jr.; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Odell Van; seven sisters and five brothers. The Arizona Republic Sunday, November 4, 1979.

VANDAVEER, Esther Lillian

Scottsdale -- Services for Esther Lillian Vandaveer, 76, who moved here in 1974 from Ohio and died Oct. 23, 1979, in her home, were in First Baptist Church of Scottsdale. Mrs. Vandaveer had been a member of the Scottsdale Bowling League. She is survived by her children, Marjorie Rymer and Fredrick E.; four grandchildren; a sister and a brother. Homer "Van" Vandiver, 76, a former bartender at Kay's Happy Landing who was in the auto salvage business after moving here 38 years ago from Indiana, died Oct. 24, 1979, in Phoenix Memorial Hospital. Mr. Vandiver is survived by his children, Helen M. Cosimo, Barbara Fultz and Bob G.; a sister, a brother; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services in Grimshaw Bloom Chapel, 3800 S. Chandler -- Maria V. Varela, 60, of 73 S. Hamilton, who came here four months ago from her native New Mexico, died Oct. 6, 1979, in Chandler Community Hospital. Survivors include her children, Julia DIAZ, Delores PALOZUELAS, Francisca DELAROSA, Higinia CRUZ, Loreta, Margarito, Cornellio, Sylvester, Seferino and Josebas; 37 Grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Joseph C. Van Erstvelde, 71, 4420 S. 18th Pl., came to Phoenix 36 years ago from Chelsea, Iowa, and died Oct. 24, 1979, in a local hospital. He had retired from Read Mulfan Auto Agency and was in the senior volunteer program at Holy Family Center. He was born in Phoenix and worked as a dispatcher for Mtn Bell, played guitar with Valley bands and was a student at Phoenix Academy of Beauty. He graduated from Maryvale High School. Survivors include his children, Jennifer Marie and Anthony David; mother, Katie H. Verdugo; a sister and a brother. Mass was in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 3140 N. 51st Ave. 10/18/1979.
