BACA, Ernest

Holbrook -- Rosary for Ernest Baca, 67, of 144 E. Hampshire, who died Oct. 4, 1979, in Holbrook Hospital, was in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass was in the church. Mr. Baca, who lived in Holbrook 63 years, had been a hospital maintenance worker. He is survived by his wife, Eliselda; children, Molly Gonzales, Barbara Mazon, Linda Gaboa, Ernestine Young, Ted and Ernest Jr.; a sister; a brother; 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sun City -- Erich W. Badziong, 65, who retired here in 1976 after 34 years as a bus driver with the Milwaukee Transit Co., died Oct. 4, 1979, in Boswell Hospital. Mr. Badziong was a past master of Masonic Lodge 259; a member of its sick committee and Royal Arch Masons. He is survived by his wife, Mabel; and a sister, Gertrude Kraus of Green Lake, Wisconsin. Dorothy Mae Baker, 67, a charter member of Maryvale Baptist Church, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary who had been a secretary for Honeywell, Inc., died Oct. 30, 1979. Mrs. Baker, 4127 W. Glendale, moved here in 1953 from Ohio. She is survivved by her husband, Ralph; children, Letitia Lewis and Dennis; six grandchildren; a sister and a brother. Services were in Sunset Chapel, 301 W. BAKER, Earl E.

Earl E. Baker, 88, a World War I Army doctor, died Oct. 12, 1979, in Sacred Heart Home where he had been residing. Dr. Baker was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, and came to Phoenix in 1973. He is survived by his children, Ann Curtin, Marueen and Earl J.; a brother; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchidlren. Mass was in Sacred Heart Home Chapel. Louis Bakondy, 53, a World War II veteran who lived here five years and was owner-operator of Lou's Sprinklers, died Oct. 11, 1979, in Doctors Hospital. Mr. Bakondy, 2455 E. Amelia, is survived by his wife, Lenore; children, Kathleen Thompson, Pamela Fournier, Deborah Miskanis, Ruthann Hawkes, and James; two brothers and 12 grandchildren. Mrs. Barnes graduated from Gilbert High School in 1927 and what is now Arizona State University in 1929. Her husband, Jack Barnes, died in 1974. Survivors include her children, Jackie B. Crystal G. Barnett, 48, who came to Phoenix 34 years ago from Chicago, died Oct. 17, 1979, in Dhahram, Saudi Arabia, where she lived the past 14 months. BARNETT, Irving George

Irving George Barnett, 86, who retired as a master sergeant in 1961 after his Army service included World War I, World War II and the Korean conflict, died Oct. 14, 1979, in Doctors Hospital. Mr. Barnett moved to Phoenix 25 years ago from California and was a member of Elks Lodge 335. Surviving are his wife, Mary Louise; daughter, Julia Belmont; a brother; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services were in Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Chapel, 4800 E. Indian School. BARNETTE, Lee A.

Lee A. Barnette, 82, who was born on a ranch near Globe and served as Wickenburg chief of police and constable there seven years, died Oct. 20, 1979. Mr. Barnette was also in security for the Federal Bureau of Investigation at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson. In 1940 he served as purchasing agent and auditor for the State Prison at Florence. Survivors include four sisters, Nettie Heutoth, Ethel Johnson, Alice Whadford, Ivy Wolley; and brother, J. W. Orval "Dutch" Boedeker, 66, a Wickenburg resident for the past 13 years, died Saturday here. He was born in South Dakota and was owner of the Sacramento Fright Lines. Surviving are his widow, Georgie; a daughter, Sondra Guthrie, Sacramento, Calif.; three grandsons; a brother, two sisters, two nephews and one niece. A memorial service was Tuesday morning this week in the Wickenburg Funeral Home, with the Rev. W. W. Hutchison officiating. There was private cremation. The Wickenburg Sun March 29, 1979, p. 8
