Earl E. Baker, 88, a World War I Army doctor, died Oct. 12, 1979, in Sacred Heart Home where he had been residing. Dr. Baker was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, and came to Phoenix in 1973. Lee A. Barnette, 82, who was born on a ranch near Globe and served as Wickenburg chief of police and constable there seven years, died Oct. 20, 1979. Mr. Barnette was also in security for the Federal Bureau of Investigation at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson. In 1940 he served as purchasing agent and auditor for the State Prison at Florence. Survivors include four sisters, Nettie Heutoth, Ethel Johnson, Alice Whadford, Ivy Wolley; and brother, J. W. BROODER, George G.

Carefree -- George G. Brooder, 83, an aviation pioneer who was a founder of the Wyoming Air Service in 1930 and retired as a senior vice president of Western Airlines in 1966, died Oct. 28, 1979, in his Carefree home. Mr. Brooder's firm changed its name to Inland Airlines in 1938 and when it was purchased by Western in 1944 he moved his office to Denver. After 20 years in Denver he established an office at Sky Harbor in 1964. He was a member of the National Aviation Club, Washington, D. C., Air Force Association, American Legion, Denver Club, Denver Petroleum Club, Carefree Kiwanis, Elks and Black Tie Society.
