Harry Rabneowitz, 75, a retired merchant who was born in Clifton and was a member of Temple Beth Israel during his many years in Phoenix, died Oct. 22, 1979. Mr. Rabenowitz is survived by his wife, Estelle; son, Dave; stepchildren, Sue Carlson, Michael and Thomas Baisler; seven grandchildren; a sister and a brother. Beth Israel Cemetery, 3401 W. RAFTER, Barbara

Barbara Rafter, 45, who moved to Phoenix 35 years ago, died Oct. 14, 1979, in Hillhaven Nursing Home. Mrs. Rafter, 2232 W. Lindner, Mesa, is survived by her husband, Albert L.; children, Sherrie, David, Kenneth and Terry; two grandchildren; a sister and a brother. RAINEY, Mirt Lee

RAINWATER, Ruth Ethel

Sun City -- Services for Ruth Ethel Rainwater, 84, who died Oct. 24, 1979, in Boswell Hospital, were in Windsor, Missouri, where she was a member of the Christian Church. Mrs. Rainwater moved here in 1977 from Dallas. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Dillender; a brother, Russell Nydegger; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. RALEY, Phillip

Memorial services for Phillip L. Raley, 41, who had served in the Army and was a house mover, were in Grimshaw Bloom Chapel. Mr. Raley came here four months ago from Bakersfield, California, and died Oct. 14, 1979, in Phoenix. He is survived by his children, Pamela and Phillip, Jr.; father, Jack Raley; mother, Ora Mae McLain; a brother and four sisters. The AZ Republic 10/19/1979.

RAMSEY, Arthur C.

Arthur C. Ramsey, 79, who retired as a locomotive engineer in 1965 from New York Central Railroad, died Oct. 11, 1979, in his home, 3544 W. Denton Ln. He was a World War I veteran and was a member of the Masonic Scottish rite bodies in Toledo, OH. Services were in Elkhart, IN. 13 Oct 1979

RAMSON, Patricia F.

Patricia F. Ramson, 45, died Oct. 2, 1979, in Good Samaritan Hospital. She moved here 25 years ago from Pennsylvania. Surviving are her husband, T. Dick; children, Jackie Crosson, Stephanie Miller, Tracy Diane and Thomas, Jr.; mother, Margaret Kleitz; and a sister, Natalie Rich, San Francisco. RANKIN, Marian J.

Glendale -- Marian J. Rankin, 79, who had taught school and farmed in Iowa until moving to Phoenix in 1968, died Sept. 19, 1979, in Glendale Samaritan Hospital. Mrs. Rankin had a book published, taught Sunday school calsses 35 years and was a member of the PEO Sisterhood. She graduated from Morningside College. Surviving are her husband, Elmer; daughter, Roberta Ann Stark; and three grandchildren. Memorial services were in West Phoenix Covenant Church, 3720 W. Maryland. Wed., 10/3/1979.

RAY, Lyleth M.

Mesa -- Lyleth M. Ray, 84, died Oct. 10, 1979, in Mesa Hospital. Mrs. Ray moved here 21 years ago from Washington state where she was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles. Surviving are her husband, Albert, C.; children, ... Gail I. Jones; a sister; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Burial Mesa Cemetery. 12 Oct 1979.

RECKARDS, C. R. "Chuck"

C. R. "Chuck" Reckards, 62, who moved here in 1960 from Evanston, IL, died Oct. 14, 1979, in St. Joseph's Hospital. He served as a Navy lieutenant commander in World War II and had been owner-operator of River's Boat Market and had been in sales with the R.J. Heyne Industrial Supply Co. eight years. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; sons, David C. and Michael J. 10/17/1979

REDBURN, Helen Schuette

Helen Redburn, 77, died Oct. 27, 1979, in St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Phoenix. AZ birth certificate. She and her husband, Marvin, Sr., owned Redburn Tire Co. 45 years until early this year when they sold it to their son, Marvin Jr., and an associate. Other survivors include her daughter, Donna Tomlinson of California; two brothers, Howard and William Schuette of Phoenix; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services at A. L. REDICK, Verda S.

Graveside services for Verda S. Redick, 65, who was born in Phoenix, were in Greenwood Memorial Park, 2300 W. Van Buren. Mrs. Redick died Oct. 24, 1979, in Phoenix Baptist Hospital. Graveside services for Virgia Redman, 87, who lived in Phoenix from 1947 until August 1979, and died Oct. 21, 1979, in Plainview, Texas, were in Memory Lawn Memorial Park, 719 N. 27th Ave. Mrs. Redman and her husband had farmed in Texas. Services for Lulu Bernice Reeves, 94, who came to Arizona 36 years ago and died Oct. 29, 1979, in a Phoenix hospital were in Memory Lawn Cemetery, 719 N. 27th Ave. Mrs. Reeves, 4800 S. Ocotillo, Glendale, is survived by her children, Dorothy D. Miller, Glendale, Irene Straffin of Mesa, Howard J. of Sun City and Leslie G. of Phoenix; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Winslow -- Dave L. Register, 15, died Oct. 6, 1979, in an automobile accident near here. He attended Holbrook High School. He had moved to Holbrook recently from Phoenix. Survivors include his father, Jack Register; mother, Delores Chaves; two brothers; a sister; grandparents, Mrs. Stella King and Mrs. Beatrice Sullivan; and great-grandmother, Mrs. May Willis. REID, Benjamin

Sun City -- Benjamin A. Reid, 80, who retired as a business manager after 38 years with the Exxon Corp. of Baltimore, died Oct. 31, 1979, in St. Joseph's Hospital. Mr. Reid moved here in 1977 from Chicago. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Tulsa. Surviving are his wife, Lattie; children, Maybelle M. RENDON, Eustorgio

Scripture services for Eustorgio Rendon, 86, were at St. Catherine's Church, 6045 S. Central. Mass was also at the church. He died Oct. 26, 1979, in a Phoenix hospital. He was a native of Mexico and came to Phoenix 30 years ago from California. He had been a farm worker. Survivors include his children, Victoria DeLeon, Maria E. Hernandez, Elisa Duran, Dora R. RESECH, Fredrik

Sun City -- Memorial services for Albert Fredrik Resech, 65, who retired here a year ago after 25 years as an engineer for the City of Milwaukee water department, were in United Church of Sun City, 107th Ave and Sun City Blvd. Mr. Resech died Oct. 26, 1979, in Boswell Hospital. REYNOLDS, Marshall H.

Mesa -- Marshall H. "Marsh" Reynolds, 56, who was owner-operator of Reynolds Construction Co. and served on the board of directors of Adelante con Mesa from 1966 to 1971, died Oct. 29, 1979, in his home. Mr. Reynolds came to Arizona in 1956. He was a member of the Mesa veterans of Foreign Wars Post and a past commander of the VFW in Oneonta, N. Y. Survivors include his wife, Mary; children, Maureen Meyer, Bruce and Stephen; a brother; and two grandchildren. Mass was in Christ the King Catholic Church, 1505 E. Dana. REYNOLDS, Ruth

Ruth Reynolds, 58, 1325 W. Heatherbrae, died Oct. 11, 1979, in University Hospital, Tucson. She was born in Ottawa County, OK, and moved to Phoenix in 1943. Surviving are her husband, Ray; daughter, Raelene Smith; three sisters, Mildred Brewer, Vinita, OK, Lillian Booth, Miami, OK, and Johnnie Schuth, Tucson; and a grandson,Michael Smith, Phoenix. RHOTON, Alvin E.

Chester Riley, 57, a World War II Navy veteran who moved here in 1972 from Oakland, Calif., and was a nursing technician at Good Samaritan Hospital, died Nov. 1, 1979, in the hospital. Mr. Riley is survived by his wife, Ruth; children, Kathleen Detona, Karen Hall, Linda Emerson, Donna and Michael; mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Clare ZImmerman; seven grandchildren; a brother and two sisters.
