Harry Rabneowitz, 75, a retired merchant who was born in Clifton and was a member of Temple Beth Israel during his many years in Phoenix, died Oct. 22, 1979. Memorial services for Phillip L. Raley, 41, who had served in the Army and was a house mover, were in Grimshaw Bloom Chapel. Glendale -- Marian J. Rankin, 79, who had taught school and farmed in Iowa until moving to Phoenix in 1968, died Sept. 19, 1979, in Glendale Samaritan Hospital. Mrs. Rankin had a book published, taught Sunday school calsses 35 years and was a member of the PEO Sisterhood. She graduated from Morningside College. "Marsh" Reynolds, 56, who was owner-operator of Reynolds Construction Co. and served on the board of directors of Adelante con Mesa from 1966 to 1971, died Oct. 29, 1979, in his home. Mr. Reynolds came to Arizona in 1956. He was a member of the Mesa veterans of Foreign Wars Post and a past commander of the VFW in Oneonta, N. Y. Leonard E. Roth, 64, died Oct. 13, 1979, at a Santa Fe, CA, hospital. Mr. Roth was a Kansas native who moved to Prescott in 1942 and to Phoenix in 1961. He was a retired railroad engineer. Survivors include his wife, Leila; six daughters, Margaret SULLIVAN, Sylvia WING, Sharon, Brenda OFTROSKY, Kathy SHELTON, Mary ORR; three sons, Terry, Leonard, Jr., and David ; and 14 grandchildren. 10/17/1979.

ROTT, Anna E.

Anna E. Rott, 80, 3152 W. Meadow Dr., a retired electric factory worker who moved to Arizona 17 years ago from Illinois, died Oct. 6, 1979, in John C. Lincoln Hospital. ROWLAND, Ruth

Services for Ruth Rowland, 72, who moved here 15 years ago from Ohio and did missionary work, will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Gospel Center Church, 919 E. Mohave. Mrs. Rowland, 728 E. Cocopah, died Oct. 23, 1979, in Phoenix Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her daughters, Pat Noggle, Arlene Large, Mercedes Gabriel, Frieda Trubee and Greta Williams; a brother; 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. ROY, Ernest A.

Rosary for Ernest A. Roy, 59, was in the family home on the Salt River Indian Reservation. Mass was in St. Francis Catholic Church on Agency Road. Mr. Roy lived on Osborn Road near Mesa and died Oct. 21, 1979, in Phoenix Indian Hospital. Born in Arizona, he had been a food caterer for the Senior Citizens group on the reservation. ROZIENE, Mel L.

Mel L. ROZIENE, 78, who came to Phoenix in 1901 from Vermont and had been an electric motor winder for the Salt River Project, died July 1, 1979, in Phoenix Veterans Hospital. Mr. Roziene, 519 E. Portland, was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 266. His wife, Teresa survives. Private services were arranged at A. L. Moore & Sons Mortuary. RUBIO, Sabino

El Mirage -- Sabino Rubio, 68, a section foreman who had been with the Santa Fe Railroad Co. 47 years, died Oct. 9, 1979, in Valley View Hospital. Mrs. Rubio came to Arizona in 1919 and started as a laborer with the railroad in Prescott. He became foreman in 1942 and worked in Williams, Mayer, Aguila and Northwest Phoenix until retiring in 1975. Survivors include his wife, Rosario; children, Irene Gomez, Nellio, Sabino, Jr., Mike, Joe and Ralph; a sister; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mass was in St. Therese Catholic Church, El Mirage. 10 Oct 1979.

RUDD, Jesse Reed

Jesse Reed Rudd, 78, who came here 34 years ago and had been a carpenter for Emmett Construction Co. before retiring, died Oct. 26, 1979, in a Phoenix hospital. Mr. Rudd is survived by his daughter-in-law, Juanite {sic} Whitaker; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services in Mercer Mortuary, 1541 E. Thomas. The AZ Republic 10/28/1979, E-19.

RUEB, Ed

Services for Ed Rueb, 71, who died Oct. 5, 1979, in his home at 4131 E. Van Buren, will be 9 a.m. Tuesday in Grimshaw Bloom Chapel, 3800 S. Central Ave. He came to Arizona eight years ago from Aberdeen, S. D., after retiring as a construction contractor. Surviving are his wife, Otilla; two sisters and five brothers.
