William G. Sassaman
William G. Sassaman died last evening at 7:00 o'clock of a complication of ailments with which he had been ill for three weeks. He passed away at his late home on Vine street, Stowe. He was aged 66 years, 11 months, 29 days.
Deceased was a widower, his wife dying about four years ago. The following children survive: Elsie, wife of George Mest, Stowe; Harry, Pearl, and Dorothy, at home; Leon, of Birmingham, Alabama; Lottie, wife of Harry Frech, Stowe; Mamie, wife of Leon Dilliplane, Pottstown; Leonard, of Philadelphia; Martha, wife of Leon Van Buskirk, Reading; Lloyd, of Stowe; Bessie, wife of Robert Evans, of Stowe. He was a brother to Daniel Sassaman, of Pottstown; Howard, of Reading; Edwin, Pittsburgh; Obadiah, California; and Miss Lizzie Sassaman, of Newark, NJ. He was a member of the West End Fire Company; also of Schuylkill Lodge No. 114, Ironworkers Union, of Pottstown. He was an iron worker by trade, being a puddler at the Reading Iron Company's local plant.
The funeral will be held from the home of his son-in-law, George Mest, Quinter street, Stowe, on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Funerals
William G. Sassaman
The funeral of William G. Sassaman was held Saturday afternoon, at 2:00 o'clock, from the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Mest, of Quinter street, Stowe. The Rev. Ernest H. J. Hoh, pastor of St. James and St. Peter's Lutheran Churches, conducted the service.
Interment was made in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The bearers were: Daniel Harp, William Eagle, Philip Baker and William Francis. Funeral Director Herbert R. Houck had charge.
The floral tributes were as follows: Lillies, Elsie and husband; yellow chrysanthemums, Lottie and husband, white chrysanthemums, son Leonard and family; pink snap dragons, son Lloyd and wife; pink gladioll, Harry, Dorothy and Pearl; yellow chrysanthemums, Mamye and husband; pink dahlias, Bessie and husband; pink roses, Leon and wife; lavender asters, Martha and family; yellow chrysanthemums, Mrs. George Malsburger and family; purple asters, brother Daniel; mixed asters, Mr. and Mrs. William Engle; pink roses, grandchildren Earl Wayne and Lucille Mest; pink carnations, grandchildren, Henry and Evelyn Frech; magnolia wreath and pink roses, employer and fellow employees; gladioll, West End Fire Company; pink chrysanthemums, Sister Elizabeth; hand bouquet of cream roses, grandson, Lloyd, Jr.; comfortable, from children.
