Dr. A. K. Evans Dies
Well Known Veterinarian Was An Invalid For Years

Dr. Amos K. Evans, the well known veterinary surgeon, of Pottstown Landing, died on Saturday evening after a long disability from the effects of paralysis. He became incapacitated years ago and the once busy doctor who traveled this section far and wide, was compelled to give up his practice. He had another stroke recently. he reached the ripe old age of 83 years, 2 months, and 12 days.

Mr. Evans had been a member of the Bethel Church for the past 12 years and was one of the best known men in the region. He was one of the best known veterinary surgeons in his day and gained quite a reputation in that profession. He was twice married. He is survived by his widow Emma (Miller) Evans and one brother, William, of South Pottstown. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock in the Mt. Zion Chapel with interment in the adjoining cemetery.
