O'Connor 1800 + O'Connor, Michael    1800's  I'm trying to find out what military unit Michael O'Connor was in when he was transported from Ireland to Perth, Ontario, Canada.  I'm a direct descendent of Michael through my father, Thomas Redmond O'Connor and would greatly appreciate any information on him.  He was an educated man, unusual in the 1800's in that he could read and write fluent gaelic and latin.  Thank you for your help. O'Hara 1850+
I am searching for a Robert O'Hara, who was born in Co. Antrim, Ireland circa 1840's. He came to Canada as a young man and probably headed down to the USA around 1865-70. He may have married an Elizabeth Vernon also from Antrim while is Canada, circa 1872. By 1875 he/she was in Georgia, US. I have been unable to find him or any of his siblings. If this name or the names...Patrick, Mary, Agnes, James are familiar. I would appreciate an email. As always thank you in advance for any clue no matter how faint.

O'Neil 1857 +
I am trying to locate the birth of Thomas O'Neil, allegedly of Watson's Corners which is a place name that I have located to Lanark County.  Thomas was born 15 Nov 1857, his father's name was Patrick.  The only other statistic I have (most taken from his obituary) is that he immigrated to Michigan at the age of 9 (it does not say if he came with his family or not).
Although I don't have any more info on Thomas's Ontario origins than the above, my family tree data can be spotted at :
http://www.geocities.com/agthorn/surnames.html

I would be most appreciative if anyone can share any light on any of this information:
Where is Watson Corners?
What was it's history in the 1857 timeframe?
Any O'Neil's at all in this area (especially a Patrick) in this timeframe.

God Bless and Happy New Year!
