Nisbet 1860+ Agnes Duncan married John Nisbet in Dalhousie Twp. Kelly Deering WebSite
Nisbet 1822+
I am looking for information on John and Euphemia (Porteous) Nisbet, born in Scotland--maybe in the 1770's, and their son John, born in Cessford, Roxburghshire, Scotland and christened 19 Mar 1809 in Morebattle. John, Euphemia, four sons and one daughter are believed to have immigrated to Canada in 1822. In the 1842 Ontario Provincial Census of Lanark County, a John Nisbet is listed with four people born in Scotland and one in Canada and were farming 100 acres. By 1842 two sons and a daughter had moved to St. Lawrence County, NY and one son to Ohio. There is nothing to believe that John, Euphemia, and son John left Canada. They attended the Church of Scotland.

I would greatly appreciate your assistance in looking up these people.
Thank you,
Frank Nesbit
