Colquhoun 1800 +
I am looking for the family and ancestors of Arthur Colquhoun. He married Isabella Strachan in Bathurst Twp. on Jan. 27, 1832. They had 8 children, of which their first daughter Catherine was born in Lanark Co. in 1835. I believe that their 3 oldest sons, James (1833), Thomas and William (1844) were also born in Lanark Co. before the family moved to Hibbert Twp. in Perth Co. in 1848.
I found a listing in "Lanark Society Settlers: from Scotland; 1820-1822 Settlers Lanark County" on page 2 of 4 for Angus Colquhoun, Lanark Twp., Con. 4 Lot 17W (July 28, 1821); James Colquhoun, Lanark Twp., Con.7 Lot 21W (Oct. 1, 1820) and Archibald Colquhoun, Ramsay Twp., Con. 10 Lot 19E (Aug. 16, 1822).
Was there a family relationship between the 3 Colquhouns' listed as Lanark County Settlers and what was the family relation to Arthur Colquhoun?

Seeking further information for Robert CONN (b. ca 1811, Co. Kilkenny, Ire.) resident of Elmsley North ca 1836 to 1866.  Robert's wf. Maria is strongly suspected as being Maria FORDE (b. ca 1814, Co. Armagh, Ire), and dau. of Wm & Margaret (MURDOCH) FORDE (my gggggrandparents) who emigrated to Lanark Co. from Co. Armagh, Ireland in 1825.  In 1851/2 census Robert, Maria and children were living next door to her mother, Widow Margaret.  In 1861 Robert cannot be located but Maria and children are next door to two of her FORDE brothers.  A land abstract dated Mar. 1, 1866 (Lot 3, Con. 10) provides the last assignable date for this family in Lanark County.  Not located in Prov. Ont., in 1871.  The children were - Margaret, b. ca 1837; Catherine, b. ca 1838; Fergus, b. ca 1840; Wm, b. ca 1842; Magdaline, b. ca 1845; Sarah, b. ca 1847; John, b. ca 1849; Robert, b. ca 1852; Rachel, b. ca 1853; Mary Ann, b. ca 1855. Connor

1820s +

Daniel Connor, wife Bridget, children: Judith, Margaret, James, Ellen, Bridget. This family was a Peter Robinson settler to Lanark Twp, from the ship "Albion" in 1825. My great-great grandmother was Ellen Connor from County Cork Ireland. About 1830, Ellen Connor and her sister Bridget were orphaned. They can be found in the 1840 census of Pontiac Michigan with the William Youle family. I speculate that this Youle (Yuill, Yuille, Yuil, Yule, Youl)
family was (or was a descendent of) one of the Scottish families of the
same name living in the 1820's in Ramsay Township. Oral history is that the parents Connor drowned between 1825-1830. In 1910 a William Connor, a nephew of Ellen Connor, came "from the wheatfields of Canada" to visit her in Michigan. Probably William is a son of the above James Connor, but I can't find any history of James Connor's marriage, children, etc. I do read that there was a migration from Ontario to Manitoba around the 1860's. But I haven't found any reference to James or William Connor being a part of this.
I am searching for any information on this Daniel Connor of Ramsay Twp.,
and his descendents.
