DONAHUE I am looking for any DONAHUEs in Bruce County. My ancestor Thomas DONAHUE lived and died in Michigan. He was a civil war soldier and his military records state he was born in Kinloss Twp. Whitechurch, Bruce Co. Ontario. His birth is around 1830 and he came to Michigan before 1852 because his daughter Ellen DONAHUE OWEN was born in Michigan in 1852. His 1st marriage is Ellen DUNN. Any reply is welcome. Thank you.  Karen Haggard, [email protected]. December 16, 2005

SCOTT - A long shot, at best, but worth a try. I'm trying to find a David Scott (wife unknown) with sons, George born about 1855 and Benjamin born 15 March 1858 (not sure about the accuracy of this date). George's marriage record has him born in Whitchurch which I assumed was Whitchurch, York County. However, I have some information which indicates that Benjamin was born in Walkerton, Bruce County. So...perhaps the marriage record should read Whitechurch which is closer to Walkerton???? I'm grasping at straws after having no success finding this family prior to 1870. They are in Muskoka in 1870. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. Jenny B. E-mail: [email protected] November 23, 2005

MORRISON / ANDERSON Robert Morrison married Eliza Dill Anderson 05 January 1860 in Kincardine, Bruce County, Ontario. Robert was born 18 October 1833 in St. John's, New Brunswick to George MORRISON and Elizabeth WALKER. Eliza was born 19 May 1839 in Toronto, Canada to William ANDERSON and Margaret NEVIN. I do not know the date Robert moved to Kincardine, but do know that he was listed in the 1851 Census in New Brunswick. He was Presbyterian, the church name and place is unknown. He is listed in the 1871 Census in Kincardine Village as a carpenter, which I recall my father telling me that he had built the piers at Kincardine Harbor in 1872 and 1873. He also had built some churches. They had 6 children: (1) Elizabeth Ann, born 05 October 1860; (2) George Alexander, born 11 Dec 1862; (3) Katherine (Kate) Jane, born 17 January 1865; (3) Margaret (Gretta) Amanda, born 02 Feb 1867; (4) Robert Duncan, born 31 May 1869, died 05 August 1979 in Kincardine; (5) William Clifton, born 04 August 1871; (5) Roberta Matilda, born 21 September 1873; (6) Ellen (Ella) Nevin, born 21 October 1877. All children were born in Kincardine, Ontario. Robert and George emigrated to Dakota Territory in late 1879 and in 1880, the rest of the family emigrated there also. Does anyone know if there is anything printed up on Robert about his building of these places or a biography on him. Does any one know if there was a Presbyterian Church located in Kincardine between the years of 1860 and 1879 and how to contact the place where records of Robert's marriage records may be located? I would like to get a copy of it and any other information on his family. I would be happy to pay costs of postage and for the copies. I would be happy to hear from anyone that can possibly help me or if you could be a relative. Thank you in advance for your help. My email address is [email protected]. July 20, 2005
