Married Margaret Ruth Biggar in 1865 in Kincardine, Ontario after her former husband Nelson Gilroy passed away in 1864. Matthew died in 1873. Matthew and Ruth had 3 children: Alexander who was later adopted by John and Sarah Ross (born 1868), Mary Euphemia (born 1870) and Matthew (born 1873). Ruth married Thomas Brocklebank in 1874. I am looking for any information on the marriage of Margaret Ruth and Matthew as I have searched for years and found nothing. I am also looking for any information on the death of Matthew and where he is buried. I have contacted the author of Toil, tears and triumph, a Kincardine history. She has a list of names for the cemeteries and there is no record of Matthew buried there. The 1871 census records show Matthew in Kincardine, Ontario. Young Matthew Dick born in 1873, the year his father died, shows he was born in Kincardine. Any help on where Matthew Sr. is buried would be tremendously appreciated. Also, any info on young Matthew would also be appreciated. I do know about Mary's life. My name is Donna Rekve, gr-gr-granddaughter of Matthew and Ruth Dick, great-granddaughter of Alexander Dick Ross. My e-mail address is [email protected]. October 13, 2010 RICHARDSON The first family on Saugeen Township lot 14 RWSR, or ER as it was called in the early records, was that of Donald McTavish. He sold it to his son Hugh. In 1882 it was purchased by Andrew Richardson. In 1888 Andrew served notice to Council of his intention to close up the travelled road through his bush to ford the Saugeen River at the 4th concession. Andrew's children according, to daughter Agnes' obituary in ?, are one brother John T., a Miss Richardson and a sister, Mrs. Davenport in Hamilton. Andrew Richardson died April 3rd, 1911, age 81, but to date no obituary of him or his wife has been found. A James Richardson thought to be his son died December 26th, 1891 aged 22. Can anyone shed more light on this family? Reply to Audrey Underwood, [email protected]. September 11, 2010 GOOD, Levi,
Ann, Polly, William, and
their mother, Rosena GOOD. Rosena's
maiden name was GEIGER, and she was married to my Great
Grandfather , Samuel GOOD, who was the son of
Joseph and Anne GOOD. Levi b.
1866, Ann b. 1867, Polly b. 1870,
William b. 1872, and all born in Woolwich, Waterloo,
Ontario. Samuel b. 1844, wife Rosena
b.1846. I presume that Rosena died sometime between
1872 and 1876, as Samuel remarried and moved to the
U.S., leaving his children to be raised by family in Canada. Any
information on, or photos of the children would be appreciated, as would
any documentation of any sort, regarding Rosena's
death. I do know that Levi was living in Culross in
1923, and that Rosena's parents were David
and Caroline GEIGER. Thank you so much for any help
anyone can give. Diana Ebersole,

His son Edward marries (28 Jan 1864) McKERTINE, Jane (b.1842, Scotland) in Bruce County (Ontario Marriage Index, 1858-1869). The whole family emigrated to Australia sometime around 1866 and settled permanently as farmers in Killarney a small town near Warwick in Queensland. That is all the information we have before their arrival in Australia so my question is what other records of whatever kind exist about Samuel Youngs 20 years in those very early days in your fair County of Bruce. Please reply to a very grateful Greg Young at [email protected]. April 11, 2010 GIBBONS Interested in finding out out information on a Pansy Gibbons born in Southampton circa 1894-1895. April 11, 2010 STANLEY / OWENS - Seeking information as to whether the family of Thomas Stanley and his wife Ann Owens, who moved from Lanark Co., Ontario to the Purple Grove area of Huron Twp. in the 1850s, can be linked to the family of Richard Stanley and Sarah Owens, who lived in Pakenham Twp. in Lanark Co.
