A funny thing happened to me while climbing my family tree -- I kept winding up in Columbiana County. I have significant links to all these surnames: ARMSTRONG, BOWMAN, FISHER, FOULKS, HERBERT, JOHNSON, AND WALTER. Most of them have been of historical note in St. Clair or Elk Run Townships, including the founder of Calcutta, William Foulks. The data I have on each is now stored at a Foulks Family site, at http://members.iex.net/~thom/foulks.htm. To the best of my knowledge, there is more Columbiana County surname information at that site than any other site on the Web.
