John Davidson Grant Smith Married Alice Maria Earl and had following children: Mervin, James. Margaret, John Earl {my father}. Wm. Richard Gillies Smith.Howard Frank Smith all born in Salineville. if I can help any one looking for SMITH in Columbiana I have the 1880 census and 1900 census on the Smiths. I have researched over 20 years my paternal Smith in Scotland back to year 1532 confirmed with the LDS records .

My husband's ancestor was Jacob BOOTH, who family stories say was born in Columbiana County, February 14, 1813. I assume his parents stayed in Columbiana County. I believe they had property there. Jacob died in Marion County on April 18, 1854. I would like to know who Jacob's father and mother were. Also, are there any school records available for roughly 1820 to 1832?

I am looking for info on Isaiah MCCLISH who purchased a land grant in Columbiana Co. OH on Oct. 10,1807 ( office # 2707). The land later was in Rose Tp., Carroll Co. In 1820 Arron Pugh owned this land Isaiah McClish died around 1812. Can you find any info on these men?

May 1857 in Ohio. d. betw 1921-1923, Columbiana Co., OH Frank & Jessie adopted Edward Rolli Cope betw 1881-1886. 1820 census of Columbiana County lists a Catherine MUSSER in West Twp listed a couple entries below her are a Henry and a Peter Musser, who was Catherines husband and are Henry and Peter her sons? I have a Henry Musser in Stark County later census, is this the same Henry?

Any information would be greatly appreciated on the following. J. Sacton was born possibly in England and married Lucy HOUSE. Lucy died on December 24 (year unkown). They had at least one child, Arthur SAXTON, born March 1, 1898 in Salineville and died May 23, 1971 in E. Liverpool. He married Lois MCCULLOUGH (marriage date unknown). Lois was born October 24, 1906 in Salineville and died January 1, 1977 in Alliance, Stark County. They had three daughters, all born in Columbiana County, Kathleen Wilma, Aletha Jean and Vickie Lynn.

Searching for information on the family of Samuel McCOY and Jane DONALDSON. I know nothing of his parents. Jane was the daughter of James Donaldson of Maryland and Rebecca GARDNER of Pennsylvania and was born February 17, 1794 in Pennsylvania. She married Samuel MCCOY and lived in Columbiana County. Her parents also lived in Columbiana County, with James DONALDSON dying there December 16, 1850 and Rebecca dying probably there February 20, 1880. Samuel and Jane had 17 children, most of whom were girls. I only know of the following: James Donaldson McCoy (the youngest, born 1830), Samuel McCoy, Robert McCoy, and Elizabeth (Betsy) McCoy. Betsy married a Mr. FIFE and had a daughter, Elizabeth, who married Robert MULHATTEN. Samuel McCoy Jr. was thought to have two sons, Claudius and Zenius.
