I'd appreciate any information regarding the family of William and Elizabeth MCDONALD. They appear in Leetonia, Columbiana county in the 1880 census (1870 census: Erie, PA; 1860 census: Beaver County, PA). William was born c.1836, Elizabeth (CLINGINSMITH) c1841. Their children were: Ida (b.1860), Eva (b. 1837), Wilson (b.1870), Katie (b. 1873) and Seth (b. 1875). Wilson shows up in the 1900 census in Ross County, OH. I've yet to find William, Elizabeth and/or Seth in OH, PA or NY in the 1900 Soundex. It's possible the William and/or Elizabeth died in Columbiana County.

I am seeking information on the parentage of Charles S. FOULKS, said to have been born Jan. 30, 1821, in Columbiana County. (He died in 1895 in Indiana). Charles S. may have been the born-out-of-wedlock son of Nancy Foulks, a daughter of Salome Foulks. He is listed as receiving a bequeathment from Salome when she died (1854) in Richland County. Other members of Salome's family included children Aaron, James, Mary Ann (and Nancy). Nancy later wed a George Edgington. Many records point to members of the Foulks family as being significant landowners and community leaders of Columbiana County in the early 1800s. But we have been unable to locate any birth information on Charles S. He is my great-grandfather.
