Family 1 : MABEL SANDS of Rotington
  1.  ROBERT BRISKO
  2.  WILLIAM BRISKO
  3. +JOHN BRISCOE I
  4.  LEONARD BRISKO

Notes

"Marriages and Deaths St Mary's County Maryland 1634-1900, son of Leonard Briscoe of Crofton Hall, Cumberland Eng m. in 1110 Marquis DuBois."

"Robert Briscoe, an ancestor, came to England with William the Conqueror. Robert's son, Leonard Briscoe of Crofton Hall, Wigton, Cumberland, England had four children. One of them, Dr. John Briscoe I, arrived as one of the Gentlemen Adventurers in 1634 in "The Ark and The Dove" expedition and helped to found Maryland as the third permanent English colony in the New World.

We can also trace an interesting lineage of Dr. Briscoe through descendants of Pocahontas and her father, Chief Powhatan, to Dr. Briscoe's relatives, Sarah Ferguson Vaughan and Edward Tayloe Briscoe."

(13th. Generation)
Leonard BRISCOE, s/o of Richard and Elizabeth, m. Mabel SANDS, daughter of William SANDS of Rotington. They were the parents of at least three sons, but the Visitation of Cumberland compiled by "Rouge Dragon" Pursuivant, is cited in D as showing that Leonard BRISCOE had four sons; Robert, William, Leonard, and Dr. John BRISCOE #2512.
