"I might add that there is not a shred of evidence as to who
were the two wives of Capt John Bayne - except that his second
wife was Ann, the widow of Thomas Gerrard. Proof.
The two wives are sometimes said to be 1 - Warren (and I think I
know how that got started and it's not likely) and 2 - Hawkins
(not likely).
I have recorded them as unknown - because that is what they are
unless you have found some evidence otherwise.
Walter Bayne was the son of the first wife of Capt John Bayne
and Ebsworth and Ann who m. Capt Thomas Dent were the children
of Capt John Bayne and his second wife. Proof."
