He was in court many times. He was always in debt, being sued,
etc. It appears he might have been somewhat of a scoundrel
where money was concerned, but a charming one. Everyone was
ready to forgive & get involved with him again.
Sarah Gatewood inheirted the home & larger share of her mother's
est. Her uncle, George Reeves, who was to live in the home
place with girls, moved to Spots Co. VA with Elizabeth and
Patience after Sarah m. Waters, who was noted for his lack of
judgement in handling money, and promptly mortgaged some of the
slaves left his wife. (the slaves left her, had the same names
as the ones he sold. Sarah is not to be confused with Sarah
Gatewood, dau of Thomas Gatewood & Elizabeth Dudley.)"

Winifred Waters
Waters Dunn (son) 1725-1803 married Sarah Gatewood
From this family many of the Dunn's have come to Ga and Al.
