Biographical Data re WEAVER, Martin's Hundred, Virginia Colony David Weaver bought land in Albermarle Co, VA, in 1774. He and Masinbird, his wife, sold this land in 1788. Deed Book 6, p.404, Albermarle Co, VA. David Weaver served in the Revolutionary War from Albemarle County, Virginia, according to PATRIOTS INDEX of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, 1966. In 1788 David Weaver was granted land in Oglethorpe County, Georgia, according to LAND LOTTERY LIST OF OGLETHORPE COUNTY, by Houston, Martha Lou, page 3, and lived there at Point Peter where he and his wife were buried per David Weaver's will, Oglethorpe County, Georgia, Will Book AB, p. 98. References: WEAVER GENEALOGY, compiled (1945) by Nannie Francisco Porter, ex-president of the Huguenot Society, Founders of Mannakintowne, Colony of Virginia, and GWINNETT COUNTY (GA) FAMILIES, 1816-1968, edited by Alice Smythe McCabe, and complied by Gwinnet Historical Society. David Weaver bought land in Wilkes Co, GA, on Millstone Creek, on 2 May 1789. Deed Book EE, p.137, Wilkes Co, GA. In 1793 Oglethorpe Co was created from Wilkes Co and included Millstone Creek.
