James C. Bonner's " Migration Pattern of the Descendants of Thomas Bonner," A Family History, states that Thomas and Elizabeth Duke Bonner's family Bible list William as being born 13 Sept. 1803. William is my (Cecil L. Bonner's) Great-Great Grandfather. The Pickens Co. Ala. 1870 cecsus record shows William to be 70 years old which would indicate he was born in 1800. Lucy, his wife is shown to be 65 years old in the 1870 census record. The 1880 Pickens Co. Census shows William Bonner to be 77 years old which would put him born in 1803. Lucille (Lucy) Smith is not shown in the 1880 census which indicates she was dead. In checking the Church records of Arbor Springs Baptist Ch. Pickens Co. Al., the name William Bonner is listed on a page dated 16 Nov. 1872. He was granted a letter of dismissal from the church. No mention of Lucille Smith.
