Marriage record to Abraham Guidroz notes that Catherine was the widow of Louis Roquigny, who was a river pilot. We found a citation of her marriage contract with Abraham Guidroz: "Marriage contract of Abraham Guidroz and Catherine Buquoy, 19 July 1762, New Orleans. Louisiana State Museum, Records of the French Superior Council, document no. 1762071901; FHL microfilm no. 1,302,297. An abstract appears in G. Lugano, "Records of the Superior Council," LHQ, vol. 24, no. 1 (January 1941), 229." (Cited in Donald E. Pusch, Employees of the Marine in the Colony of Louisiana, 1759, 2000; first published in The Lousiana Genealogical Register, vol. 47, no. 3, September, 2000.) At the time of this marriage, Catherine had three children from her first marriage: Louise, age 12, Charlotte, age 8, and Fran�ois, age 4.
(Sources giving her birth date as 1731 are either incorrect, or have assumed that the baptismal date of 13 jun 1733 does not reflect her actual age.)
Acting as the tutrix of her three minor children by Louis Roquigny, she was a party to a power of attorney 01 apr 1767 for the settlement of the estate of the late Jacques Roquigny, the father of Louis, and her husband Abraham Guidroz also signed the document.

She was evidently the "Madame Kuhn" of Lausanne who left a bequest to the children of Jean Marcel. When news of this bequest reached the Marcel family in Jessamine Co., Kentucky, they executed a power-of-attorney in 1824 that eventually found its way to another branch of the Marcel family in Alsace. The document provides valuable information about the Marcel family in Kentucky, and alerted us to the existence of Madame K�hn.
On 23 sep 1808, a group of descendants of the late Gottlieb K�hn, doctor of medicine in Bern, claiming they were the closest kin of the late Abraham Louis K�hn, and represented by Jaques Henri Olive, petitioned Antoinette Elizabeth Pauline Borel, widow of Abraham Louis, to proceed with the settlement of his estate, stating that they believed some of his belongings and property was in Maastricht, and that his testament was believed to be on file at the headquarters of his regiment. The relatives were: Elize K�hn, widow of the late David Imhoof of Berthoud; Anne K�hn, wife of J�r�mie L'Orsa; Salom� Marie K�hn; Rosette K�hn, wife of Samuel Grimm; Am�d�e and Aur�lie, children of the late Emanuel K�hn; and Jean son of David K�hn, "tous membres de la famille de Monsieur Gottlieb K�hn en son vivant docteur m�decine � Berne, et les plus proches parents de feu Monsieur Abraham Louis K�hn, chirurgien major de France, d�c�d� � Thorn en Prusses le 21 juin 1807". He had sent his wife a letter from Zurkenbruck on 12 Brumaire XIII in which he told her that he had made his testament. His death record at Moudon says he died during the night of Thursday-Friday, the day of Ascension, 1728, and was buried the next day, Saturday. The usual date of Easter under the Julian calendar would be 28 mar 1728, and Ascension would fall on Thursday, 06 may 1728. However, this would make the death record out of sequence with the one that follows, 02 may 1728. Is it possible that this church celebrated Easter a week early, 21 mar 1728?
