Her name in the record of the baptism of her daughter Marie Catherine, 10 oct 1723, looks like Chapuis. We are treating this as a clerical error, but it happens again at the baptism of her son Jean Samuel, 18 jan 1727, her daughter Anne Marie, 14 aug 1728, and her daughter Anne Esther 22 jul 1730. Did Daniel have two wives named Jaquemaz? If so, where is the second marriage? Which children belong to which mother?

His death is recorded at Moudon (ACV Eb 88/11, Paroisse de Moudon, d�c�s 1727-1764): "Jean Pierre Guidroz Heraut Bourgeois de Moudon ag� d�environ quarante six ans ayant et� attaqu� d�ethysie dont il a langui autour de deux ans est mort le 21 septembre 1746 � quatre heures du matin et a et� enterr� le lendemain � quatre heures du soir. Il laisse une veufve, cinq filles & deux fils."
A testament by his wife, dated 17 aug 1751 and probated 08 sep 1751 (ACV DL 11/32), refers to him as the late herald of Moudon, presumably a ceremonial post associated with the town council. In the same series of registers (DL 11/31) there are some mentions of the estate of "feu l'officier ballival Guidroz"; however, from some of the dates, it is clear that these refer to the family of Philippe Guidroz "vivant officier ballivale de Moudon" (26 nov 1744, accounts submitted by Duperron, guardian for his nieces Guidroz; 20 apr 1746, partages for the children of the late Officier Ballival Guidroz de Moudon and a letter of rent in favor of his sons; another naming Philippe specifically 16 jan 1759; but definitely the present Jean Pierre, 26 apr 1747, Antoine Bourgeois, action against the heirs of Jean Pierre Guidroz).
There is some confusion about his children, which might be resolved by a careful reading of the lists of catechumens at Moudon. A child of "l'officier Guidroz" died in October, 1730, no further information is given in the death record. This cannot be the son Abraham Daniel, who was born in November of that year, but it could be one of the daughters, perhaps Marguerite Estienne. There are no other deaths recorded for this family before 1764. There is a marriage record for a daughter Marie Louise, but no corresponding baptism, and assuming the death record of October, 1730 does in fact refer to this family, we must be missing at least two more baptisms.

After the death of her husband, prior to 07 aug 1762, she made a donation to her daughter Elizabeth Fauchierres wife of Pierre Chollet ch�telain d'Hermanches (ACV DL 11/35). Her death was recorded at Mondon: "[M]lle. Marie n�e Guidroz originairement Bourgeoise de Moudon, Veufve du Sr. Isaac Denis Faucherres Vivant Membre de Vingt quatre deditte Ville, ag�e d�environ septante deux ans, ayant et� malade d�ethysie quelques ann�es, & est allit�e environ cinq mois, est morte le onzieme Avbril 1763 sur les neuf heures du matin, & a et� enterr� au cimetiere dudit lieu le treizieme dit. Elle laisse une fille mari�e a Mr. [Ch]ollet Chatelain d�Hermanches."

Her baptism has not yet been located, but she is well attested around the time of her marriage. She was about 60 years of age at the time of her death in April, 1788, consistent with her date of birth as reported in secondary sources; however, until additional sources can be located, it remains possible that she might have been considerably younger.

There is a death record for a Philippe Guidroz 23 dec 1727. This is the first entry in the burial register at Moudon, ACV EB 88/11. That record could pertain to someone else, because the record for his wife Rosine Christine Duperron indicates she died in January, 1728, as the wife, rather than the widow, of Sr. Philippe Guidroz, officier ballivale etc. The record of the second marriage, to Judith Sugnens, has not been located.
