This couple appears at Lausanne for the baptism of their daughter Susanne Marie. The wife's surname is given as Margueran, but the presence of Marie Ursule and Susanne Margueran as witnesses seems to clinch the identification. Marie Margueran also appears in 1703 at the baptism of a son of Pierre Meunier, along with her husband Bernard Mourgue, suggesting that Pierre may be the brother of Jean Meunier. It would be very helpful to locate the marriage of this couple!
Witnesses at the baptism were Samuel "Hardoin" (Ardoin) and Daniel "Pelechoudy" (Pilichoudi).

Bourgeois de Payerne, 1560. He is apparently the same Charles Meyer who was Advoyer de Fribourg, and as such, father of Hanns Meyer, Conseigneur de Carrouge circa 1591. A secondary source calls him "bourgeois de Fribourg, anobli par Charles-Quint en 1555." The parentage and relationships of the branch of the family associated with Carrouge remain to be investigated.
(Does the phrase "anobi par Charles-Quint en 1555" provide a clue to the source of the sudden "nobility" of other, related families about the same time, such as the Gachet family of Payerne around 1562?)

Originally from Strasbourg, he became a citizen of Fribourg in 1491. The circumstantial evidence strongly suggests that his sons Franz and Nicolas were from his marriage to Antonia Faulcon; otherwise, it would not make much sense for Antonia's brother Peter Falck to make them his heirs and even to ask that they take his surname, since Peter had no sons of his own. However, an item in AEF "Notes historiques extraites des archives cantonales de Fribourg et relatives aux familles de cette ville" gives the date 1506 for a testament of Barbe, daughter of the late councillor Jacob Bugniet, sister of Peterman Bugniet, and wife of Daniel Meyer, and naming as her children Valpourg (a nun), Marguerite, Franz, Wilhelm, and Nicolas, as well as her sisters Marguerite and the Dame Arsent. The source for this item is given as a document of the notary Bartholomy Heckart.
Is it possible that the sons Franz and Nicolas from the first marriage died, and that Antonia Faulcon bore him two additional sons Franz and Nicolas?
The Charles Meyer who married Marguerite du Moulin circa 1560 almost certainly is a descendant of Daniel as well. He is apparently a son of Daniel and Antonia who was born after the death of Peter Falck, since his son Hans was regarded as a nephew of the Franz and Nicolas who are named as heirs of Peter Falck.
Capitaine in the Garde de Savoie at the time of his marriage in 1598. His marriage contract, recorded by the notary de Montenach in a register covering 1596-1601, is listed in AEF "Notes historiques extraites des archives cantonales de Fribourg et relatives aux familles de cette ville", 2 volumes.

Apparently the same Daniel Meyer "de la vall�e de queiras en Dauphin�" who married Madeleine Chagrier de Prit (or Crest) en Dauphin� and baptised daughter Madelaine Susanne 10 mar 1710 at Morges, witnesses "Samuel Cellier oncle and Susanne Meyer tante et femme du predit parrain". Thus, Susanne and Daniel were siblings. Daniel appears as a merchant refugee in a baptism at Bi�re 1718. He is present at a baptism in Morges in 1739, another in Vevey in 1748.
There are interesting citations of an Eliz�e Meyer at Nyon in the 1780's. He is cited as bourgeois de Tolochenaz, district of Morges, with wife Fran�oise Marquis. In 1782, they baptised a child Jean Daniel at Morges, sponsored by Jean Daniel Johannot, Jeanne Amaron, and Susanne Johannot (presumably n�e Bailly). Could Eliz�e be a son or grandson of Daniel Meyer?
Further, there are references to a Daniel Meyer with wife Marie Guyot at Lausanne around 1700. The same man or different?

Genealogy chart attached to letter included marriage of Caspar Diller, circa 1783, to widow Eva Magdalena Meyer. (Note that sources differ as to date of this marriage).
He is almost certainly the Franche Meyer bourgeois de Fribourg who purchased property from Philibert Ruerat at Payerne on behalf of N. Gaspard Faulcon of Fribourg, 02 feb 1548 (Blaise Chalon, notary at Payerne, ACV DP 13/1). A notation about his widow Catherine Pavillard and their children (1577, AEF "Notes historiques extraites des archives cantonales de Fribourg et relatives aux familles de cette ville", 2 volumes, source for this extract apparently a register RN 195 fol. 188 of the notary Franz Guernel covering 1558-1578) does not list his son Hans, attested from other records. The likely explanation is that Hans was from a prior marriage, the name of his mother not yet discovered.

His marriage contract of 1568 is noted in AEF "Notes historiques extraites des archives cantonales de Fribourg et relatives aux familles de cette ville", 2 volumes, referring to a register of the notary Hans Hecht dit Batscher covering 1559-1571.
In spite of what appears to be clear evidence from these sources, the on-line edition of the Dictionnaire Historique de la Suisse makes him a son of Nicolas Meyer and _____ de Furno, citing "AFam, fichier, g�n�al. d'Amman et de Gottrau, AEF". This version also gives him a second wife, Elizabeth Gottrau, probably the daughter of Simon.
