I am seeking descendants of John Taylor FIELD (1817-1889). In 1839 he moved to Chardon, Geauga Co., Ohio where he engaged in mercantile business. He as married in 1841 to Elsie Adelia Hathaway of East Claridon, Ohio. They had two daughters, Mary Eliza FIELD (b. 1842) and Helen Irene FIELD (b. 1844) both probably in Chardon, Ohio. LEBAR I am looking for information on Horace Lebar and his descendants. He moved to Chardon, OH from Allegany CO., NY sometime after 1874. Horace lived there with his wife Mary (Robinson) and their five children until his death in 1916. His children were: Hattie, Adelbert, Willison, Rolland and Charles. His brother also moved to Ohio and may have lived with him. The brother's name was Melvin Lebar. Both Melvin and Horace were Civil War vets. Mary Lebar (Horace's widow)died at Chardon in 1918.

I am looking for any information on Jeremiah Norton, father of Sarah Norton Hall. It is believed he resideded in the Geauga county area until possibly the mid 1800's. Family notes also state that the Norton family migrated from England in 1699 and first settled in North Guilford, CT.

Seeking information on descendants of Joseph CADY and his wife Phebe ANTISDEL. Joseph came to Madison, OH in 1811 from Vernon, NY. He joined service as a drum major for the war of 1812. After discharge he came back to Madison which at that time was part of Geauga County. Madison is now part of Lake County. Phebe and her family came from Willington, CT about 1812. Joseph & Phebe were married in 1816. They had several children: Curtis, Chester, Sarah, Henry, Oscar & Newton. I would like to find descendants of this couple. Any help is appreciated!

I am researching my Horton and Goff ancestry. John James Goff and Sarah Arzalia Horton were m in Huntsburg Sep 21, 1855 by Rev. Pomeroy. NICHOLS, Hezekiah, formerly of Vershire, Hillsborough Co., VT, died in Chester Twp., Geauga Co. in 1853. He was the son of Humphrey of Weare, NH and had two wives. One was Lois KELLEY and the other was Lavina Childs. KELLEY is listed as mother on VT birth records of all the children, but CHILDS is referred to as mother on death records of Orville and Granville, who remained in the area and Carlos, Susan, and Philura, who moved on to Allegan Co., Michigan I'd like to hear from anyone who might descend from these lines and would like to solve the maternal mystery.
