Names being searched: BUTLER, ELLSWORTH, BILLINGS. I am searching for information on Samuel BUTLER, b. Ohio, cir. 1822. He moved to Lee County, Illinois in the late 1840s, where he was living with Isaac and Theadocia BILLINGS ELSWORTH. Since the Elsworths said they moved to Illinois from Geauga, Ohio, I thought Samuel Butler might have been a neighbor who moved with them. He later married Elworth's daughter, Diane. I know there were at least three Butlers listed as head of household in the 1830 Geauga County census. I believe one of them might be a parent but I have not found a will or other document to tie my Samuel to them. Would appreciate any information.
