HEIGHT, HIGHT, HITE posted by John H. Watts Jr. on Thursday, July 1, 1999
Hite,Hight,Height researcher. I found an A.E. (Addison) Height who died 2 Oct 1914 at the age of 63 years and a Laura M. Height who died 28 Feb 1950 and a Myrtle Height, no death date shown on your county records. Does anyone know who these people are? Are there any present day descendants? Who were A.E. (Addison) Heights' parents, brothers and sisters? If someone could locate a copy of their newspaper obituaries and send them to me, I would be greatful. Otherwise, anyone who could find out more about them such as their birth dates, birthplaces, marriages, etc., I would be most grateful. My mailing address is John H. Watts Jr., 3605 N. Lindeke Street, Spokane, Wa. 99205-2358.

CARPENTER, DICKINSON, MINOR posted by Jane Ann Jones on Tuesday, July 13, 1999
I am looking for information about Lewis Carpenter who lived in Mentor Township in 1830 (according to the census). I believe that Lewis, who was born in Connecticut, married Jane (?) Minor in the 1820s and that they had at least four children: Sarah/Sally, Julia Ann, Rice, and Edwin P. I believe that Jane died about 1837 and that Lewis then moved to Ray County, Missouri. Much of this is based on circumstantial evidence. Would like to touch base with anyone who might have information helping to prove or disprove these suppositions. His daughter, Julia Ann Carpenter Dickinson, is my ancestor.
