Olive Bernice "Miss Ollie" CONERLY

29 Nov 1903 - ____

ID Number: I2733

Father: Cullen William CONERLY
Mother: Julia O. CONEY

  2.  Harvey Prentiss TAYLOR Jr.
  3.  Cullen Conerly TAYLOR

Notes

100th birthday party for Mrs. Taylor, Dec 6, 2003.
"We had a really bodacious birthday bash at the church for Ms. Ollie (what she's known as around here). I solicited birthday greetings from several dignitaries, including President Bush and Governor Musgrove (Mississippi's current but soon to be replaced governor). Got cards/letters from them, both Miss. senators (Lott and Cochran), 3rd district Representative Pickering, and many, many local elected officials. I also solicited a card/letter from the Governor General of Ontario and the Queen of England. Didn't really expect to get one, but I DID get a phone call explaining they couldn't do that sort of thing for non-Canadians. The person who called did say, on behalf of the Governor General and the Queen, that she hoped Mrs. Taylor had a happy birthday. So I wrote that up and put it in the book with all the other cards and letters she got. She had a grand time, and is still looking at the book of cards and letters. I'll pass along the other info you gave me; Ms. Ollie and Catherine will appreciate it."
