     Ellen Cheyne was born, 21 March 1815, in Godalming Parish, Surrey, England. She was christened 21 April 1815 in the same parish.1,2

Robert Romley Cheyne, Caroline Cheyne and Ellen Cheyne were witnesses at the marriage of their sister, Clara Cheyne and Samuel Slater, 24 April 1844, at All Souls Parih Church, in London, Marylebone, Middlesex, England; Church of England.3,4

She was also listed as eighty six years of age, single and a retired schoolmistress. Also present in the household were a companion and a servant.10

Ellen Cheyne died 11 January 1902.11
