     Caroline Cheyne was born, 21 March 1815, in Godalming Parish, Surrey, England. She was christened 21 April 1815 in the same parish.1,2

Robert Romley Cheyne, Caroline Cheyne and Ellen Cheyne were witnesses at the marriage of their sister, Clara Cheyne and Samuel Slater, 24 April 1844, at All Souls Parih Church, in London, Marylebone, Middlesex, England; Church of England.3,4

Caroline Cheyne was listed on the 1881 England Census, at 23 Park Crescent, in London, Lambeth, Surrey, England. She was head of household and a unmarried and independent. Also present were; her twin sister, Ellen Cheyne, two other sisters, Anne Chittenden, and Clara Slater, and a servant.8

She was found on a Register of Electors in Brixton Borough, London, Surrey for all years 1890-1893 residing in a house at 33 Gateley Road.9,10,11,12

Caroline Cheyne was listed on the 1891 England Census, at 33 Gateley Road, in London, Lambeth, Surrey, England. She was head of household. Also present were, her sisters, Ellen Cheyne (10802) and Ann Chittendon (11825), now a widow. All three were listed as "living on her own means". Also present was a domestic servant, Louise Jennings.13

She was found on a Register of Electors in Stockwell District, London, Brixton, Surrey residing in a house at 13 Saint Martin's Road for all years 1894-1901.14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21

Caroline Cheyne was granted the probate of the estate of the deceased, Ellen Cheyne, 7 March 1902. The will of Ellen Cheyne was proved 7 March 1902. An abstract of it reads: "Cheyne Ellen of 13 St. Martin's Road Stockwell Surrey spinster died 11 January 1902 Probate London 7 March to Caroline Cheyne spinster. Effects £10787 18s.".23
