Hi Josephine,
I am a descendant of James & Amelia (sp) Leach, through their
son Anthony Collin Leach (b. 1817 Union Dist. SC, died 1879
Sabine Parish LA). I didn't have any info on their daughter Mary
Ann, and I appreciate your info.
I had received info from another researcher that Wiley Corley
married Mary Martha LANGSTON on 17 May 1835 in Bibb Co. AL. I
wonder if Wiley first married Mary Langston, then Mary Leach two
years later? Mary Martha Langston was born in Sept. 1815 to
Isaac Newton Langston and wife Sarah (Patton). Mary Martha was a
twin of Rebecca Langston (Rebecca married Jacob Creed in 1836 in
Bibb Co.).
I had been assuming that the children of Wiley and Mary Corley
were children of Mary "Langston" Corley, but it looks like
they're really children of Mary "Leach" Corley, from the info
you've found.
Please let me know if you've confirmed any of this in your
research. Thanks!
